i listened to this on cassette when i was 10 on my first trip to France for a birthday present. When i go back home, i found i had lost the cassettes. can some1 help me find an mp3 version online? it would bring back such nice memories and id be very grateful

@ThePsykoMantis I looked into where I downloaded the copy for the review, and I'm afraid it's not on there anymore, but there seems to be a lot of torrents for it, but who knows which ones are legit. You also might want to try the library, they usually carry a lot of this kind of stuff, depending on where you live. Good luck! It's well worth the hunt as you probably remember.

Yeah...I used to suffer from bad depression and the ensuing insomnia, so I spent a lot of nights in bed listening to Star Wars audiobooks in the 90's.

I generally preferred the ones that had more voice actors. Everyone knows about the radio dramas (and those are great), but I really loved the two Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina audiobooks, because while they were primarily narrated from a first-person perspective, they had a lot of other actors, sounds, and music than the other books.

"The band's tale" is my favourite.

I mean, it's even got custum music. ^^

That one is indeed good. I've probably listened to it hundreds of times, and still notice new little things each time.

Have you heard the Nightlily one yet? It's got a few of the same cast, and the same production team.

Nightlily is equally awesome. Full cast, is the way to go, and who ever does the voice of Trevag is amazing.

Do you know is they audiobook-ed any other 'tales'? Because I've only heard those two.

They also made one for "Hammertong: The Tale of the Tonnika Sisters", which was only on cassette, and was an exclusive in a boxed set with audiobooks of the Thrawn trilogy, which came in a square box sort've shaped like the Millennium Falcon. This was in 1995.

I own it, although it's really nothing to get too excited about. It's only narrated by one person doing all the voices, with occasional music and sounds. No new artwork for the box, either. Just simple text against a black background.

What a shame, but I'll keep an eye out for it anyway.

Oh well, I just bought the Han Solo trilogy from random house. I hope it was worth it.

If you don;t have them already, get as much of the full cast audio dramas as you can...Dark Empire, Dark Empire II, Empire's End, Crimson Empire, Soldier for the Empire, Rebel Agent, Jedi Knight, Rebel Mission To Ord Mantell, Tales of the Jedi, and Dark Lords of the Sith...You can find pretty much any of them for free download via bit torrent...

Haha you have to be careful while driving, or you might fall asleep at the wheel depending on what you're listening too. There's actually a good blog/site that has TONS of audio books for downloading for free, if you want it just PM me and I'll pass it on.
