All the soldiers on this clip are from 3 Royal Anglain B company and its all in from West Belast. I was there in C Coy, the 3rd Bn the Royal Anglians was amalgamated with 1 and 2 Royal Anglain, I royal anglain were the unit in the Ross Kemp sky one afghanistan and 2 royal anglian were the unit that marched through luton and were greated by the muslims protesters. I served in Belfast in 1985 for two years at Palace Barracks. Only one other regiment was in Belfast at the same time, so two regiments will number approx 1300 not 10,000. Couple of hundred in IRA at any given time, where are you getting these retarded facts from you arsehole!!

Some people came to help, the soldiers might have been told they came to help but the fact is they didnt, all they did was help prop up and sustain a failed, sectarian statelet and thus, the violence that continues in Ireland today. The "nationalist community" didnt want British soldiers,they wanted the Irish Army, that at the time was lined up at the border redy to come help them.Your correct that in places like Derry,that had been under attack by the RUC mobs for days, the arrival of British troops was welcomed but this welcome was short lived as the soldiers doing stuff like killing a little boy, and then later commiting acts like Bloody Sunday. It wasnt so much about religion for the IRA as it was about occupation.

Not a tit for tat..But I can assure you in places along the Crumlin road in Belfast they were needed at that time. The very places you see "peace walls"..No one is a winner with civil war.

The flag is for the two peoples who live in Ireland , the Green(gaelic natives) and the Orange(newer anglo-scottishy people), white just represtents peace and unity beetween the two it doesnt actually represent a group of people.
