Very powerful song, too sad that the world will burn again soon, the reason will be the same as in the 20's and 30's hyperinflation => poverty is used to create tension => extremists come to power => war. People are too stupid to look back in history, it repeats itself in an other name... Just look at the news, this process has already started.
These men of the Warsaw Uprising were the true heroes of this war. They fought a helpless fight for their fatherland against the Nazis. 63 days long they fought hand in hand and died man by man. The Red-Army didn't help them, so they had to fight alone. And they knew that they would die (We know that nothing shall remain; there's no tomorrow)These people are those I really respect, they had honour, they were patriotic. And I feel sorry for that what my ancestors did to them. Respect from Germany
@Leruun Warsaw Uprising was only the part of Operation Storm - a series of uprisings conducted during World War II by the Polish Home Army against III Reich. The bigest fights was in Lwów, Wilno and Warsaw. 100 000 of Polish resistance fighters was part of this operation. Red Army help in Lwów and Wilno and after victory NKVD arested all Poles and executed them or send to Siberia. In Warsaw they not helped. After war Soviets acused Home Army of fascism and aliance with Nazis.. many was killed.

In March 1945 staged trial of 16 leaders of the Polish Underground State held by the Soviet Union took place in Moscow - (Trial of the Sixteen) they were presented with the forged accusations of "collaboration with Nazi Germany" and "planning a military alliance with Nazi Germany" and killed by NKVD. Some Home Army soldiers fight after war as Cursed soldiers against Soviets. The last cursed soldier was Józef Franczak who was killed with pistol in his hand by ZOMO in 1963.

It happened otherwise - Germans exterminated over 200 000 citizens of Warsaw, burnt it down, while Soviets stopped at Vistula river for Germans to do what they have done.
@Mingolla91 In 1939 Soviets has also 2000 of BT-7 tank. Successor of the BT-7 Tank would be the famous T-34. BT-7 has armour 30 mm and 45mm gun. Soviets was very advanced on technological field because of German-Soviet economic cooperation before WWII. Soviets exchange resources to German technology. In 1939 Soviets can wipe out Germany in the same way like they did in 1944-45. Of course in 1941 situation changed.
@Mingolla91 In 1939 most German tanks was outdated Panzer I - 40% of all German tanks, Panzer II - 37%. They has also 98 pieces of PzKpfw III - 3% and 211 pieces of Panzer IV - 6%. First versions Panzer III and IV in 1939 has 15-30mm armour and20-37mm gun. Soviets has 10 000 tanks in 1939. In this number 8734 T-26 tanks better than Panzer I and II similral to early versions of Panzer III and IV. T-26 has armour 15mm and 45mm gun.

Fact is that West Germany owed freedom after WWII to Polish uprising in Warsaw 1944. Because Red army stop before Warsaw for two months the iron curtain was set on Elbe not Rhine... and Germans never thanks to Poles for this.

Never confuse the regime/government with the people of the country! I was born in Lithuania, occupied by USSR at the time. I was automatically enrolled all the Soviet Youth organizations (equivalent of Hitler's Youth if you want). Does that make me a savage communist and partially responsible for all the atrocities that Soviets did? HELL NO!!!

I told them something every person should always remember: never, ever, EVER feel badly of your country because of its past, or even its present. I'm German and I am great fan of HSB and my grandpa was in the Army and I showed him the video without sound. But when I came home, he looked the video with sound and thought that would be cool. Most of OLD polish people, who has been living during the war, think germans and nazist are the same. We need to say, that's not true! In Germany are lots of good, normal people with open minds, here, in Poland, we have nazist and other stupid people. @zLMCz basically, after the forst ww1. the allies treated japan (who was on the allies then) basically, the west denied its bid for racial equality, (i think so anyway) now racism is a giant problem, so japan would have been pretty ticked off about it.
@Gingerlord01 180,000 is about right, but that does not take into account all the people who died of radiation sickness later. Not to mention all the people born with deformities. The U.S has had a history of being fairly reckless when it comes to civilian casualties. If you look at the Vietnam War you will see the same thing. Thousands of children, if not more, are born with deformities in places like Da Nang due to the use of Agent Orange and other chemicals. The same can be said about Iraq.
@dimmuborgirhell the best german army unit was Fallschirmjäger - parachuters. SS had only one good battle unit Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. Rest of the SS units were only stupid butchers, especially SS Dirlewanger (hope he is deep in hell right now)

I've spoken with a guy, he was really deep into this shit of nazi-stuff. He even wantet to get a swastika(Hakenkreuz)-tattoo. He allready had an "Iron Cross" (Eisernes Kreuz) at his calf.

@Bonkajs The swastika is actually an old Buddhist and Hindu symbol which is a form of a symbol for infinite, although the swastika stands for much more than that and is "bad" in what 99% of the english speaking world knows it represents.

yeah, unfortunately your right: german troops were quite successful fighting for "what they wanted" in ww2 - but what they wanted was death and distruction of all people that wouldn't meet the crazy ideal of being "arian", what they wanted was fighting countries just to take them over. these sad goals were accomplished by death and suffering of millions of innocents, so there really is no reason to honor all this madness. in fact: war is nothing to be proud of EVER. it's that simple.

Im American and i know this, even tho i have both an American great uncle who was in the U.S army rangers on d-day and a Polish Great uncle who fought in the Armia Krajowa in poland in the Warsaw Uprising.

Not every soldier in the Wehrmacht were part of the Nazi Party in fact only 20% of the Wehrmacht were registered Nazis, and some didn't even agree with Hitlers policies. They fought for Germany and for the German people, they thought that this war would benefit them. I never confuse Germans with Nazis as they are not completely one in same

Fact is that West Germany owed freedom after WWII to Polish uprising in Warsaw 1944. Because Red army stop before Warsaw for two months the iron curtain was set on Elbe not Rhine... and Germans never thanks to Poles for this.

I was automatically enrolled all the Soviet Youth organizations (equivalent of Hitler's Youth if you want). I'm German and I am great fan of HSB and my grandpa was in the Army and I showed him the video without sound. But when I came home, he looked the video with sound and thought that would be cool. Too bad he is now dead, he is telling me much of the war. Still useable, he never talked like a racist, more like a liberator.

@zLMCz basically, after the forst ww1. the allies treated japan (who was on the allies then) basically, the west denied its bid for racial equality, (i think so anyway) now racism is a giant problem, so japan would have been pretty ticked off about it.

@Gingerlord01 180,000 is about right, but that does not take into account all the people who died of radiation sickness later. Not to mention all the people born with deformities. The U.S has had a history of being fairly reckless when it comes to civilian casualties. If you look at the Vietnam War you will see the same thing. Thousands of children, if not more, are born with deformities in places like Da Nang due to the use of Agent Orange and other chemicals. The same can be said about Iraq.

@dimmuborgirhell the best german army unit was Fallschirmjäger - parachuters. SS had only one good battle unit Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. Rest of the SS units were only stupid butchers, especially SS Dirlewanger (hope he is deep in hell right now)

3. Swastika is nothing bad - its a old european symbol and for us latvians it dont mean nazi ideology at all. Every intelligent person must know that.

@Bonkajs The swastika is actually an old Buddhist and Hindu symbol which is a form of a symbol for infinite, although the swastika stands for much more than that and is "bad" in what 99% of the english speaking world knows it represents.

yeah, unfortunately your right: german troops were quite successful fighting for "what they wanted" in ww2 - but what they wanted was death and distruction of all people that wouldn't meet the crazy ideal of being "arian", what they wanted was fighting countries just to take them over. these sad goals were accomplished by death and suffering of millions of innocents, so there really is no reason to honor all this madness. in fact: war is nothing to be proud of EVER. it's that simple.

Im American and i know this, even tho i have both an American great uncle who was in the U.S army rangers on d-day and a Polish Great uncle who fought in the Armia Krajowa in poland in the Warsaw Uprising.

Not every soldier in the Wehrmacht were part of the Nazi Party in fact only 20% of the Wehrmacht were registered Nazis, and some didn't even agree with Hitlers policies. They fought for Germany and for the German people, they thought that this war would benefit them. I never confuse Germans with Nazis as they are not completely one in same

Every German was pissed off at the world for the harsh treatment after WW1, so at first they say this war as a way of getting even, brainwashed by Hitler's propoganda.
