  • It looks like the blades are off balance. try putting a piece of dark tape on the front of one blade, get eye level with the blades as they spin, if you see that one blade is higher or lower than the other, than you need to adjust the Linkage Rod/ Push-Rod. that should stop the vibes.

  • could be a lot of things. bent shaft, blades backwards, chipped blades, too tight/loose blade grips, too much pitch

  • Jeffry, the heli is making so much air disturbance it disrupts the machine. Try a bigger room, or take it up higher. I have that problem with my e-flite CX

  • operator error

  • blades are backwards. u welcome.

  • looks like a bent main shaft, dont worry you can buy new ones

  • it looks like the blades are not getting enough pitch. Did you balance the blades on the main rotor?

  • did you crash before because if you crashed then the spindle might be bent and it will cause the heli to vibrate

  • could be your main blades are to tight

  • its an out door chopper, and when you are a foot off the ground a vortex is blown up by the blades which makes it difficult to control, even for an expert XD hope this helped

  • @huggy99huggy YOUR KIDDING rite ,

  • @paddywagons104 no mate im not and u need the training skids for the first flight I RECOMMEND

  • its an out door chopper, and when you are a foot off the ground a vortex is blown up by the blades which makes it difficult to control, even for an expert XD hope this helped

  • Make sure the belt tension is strong enough and the tail boom is (very) tightly secured in it's plastic hold... That did it for me !

    The Gyro controlled servo than has a chance to properly correct the heading without the lag induced by a loose belt (mine keeps on lossening - I have to find a way to fix the boom more tightly so it does not slide ack in the heli body with the tension and vibrations...) !

  • Exactly... If you own a Blade 400, you will get used to replacing the main & feathering shafts, and the dozens of little washers, o-rings and everything that goes with it. enjoy it

  • Bent main shaft.

  • a bent main shaft will cause vibration

    a bent feathering shaft will make it track realy badly and cause shaking,

    ground effect will make it fly unstable like that but shaking and things is most probably a bent main shaft or poorly tracking blades, or out of balance blades can cause adverse flying effects,

    i would disasemble the head and check for ceased bearings and bent parts, shafts might looks straight so roll them on a flat hard surface and if it dosent roll smooth its bent

  • bent main shaft? bad blade tracking? un equal flybar length?

  • i personaly would buy a digital micrometer and check the fly bar length either side as this will cause a shake, it might only be .05mm out but i makes a hell of a difference then check blade wieghts and main shaft.

    hope this helps

  • check to see if your swash plate is level.

  • 1 adjust main blades and main shaft 2 adjust servos 1 and 2 rear blades too

  • ahah servos? you are ridiculous

  • first quit main nd tail blades looking for any vibration or noise then chek freating spindle (blades shaft) and then chek blades balance

  • ur main blede shaft is maybe a litte bent u shld try 2 straighten it or either get a new 1 :)

  • See my video. It turned out to be the main gear bearing. I dont know if thats what the problem is here.......cos mine wasnt shuddering. Still.......worth considering.

  • with the way it shook at the end i would say it a bent shaft i have the blade 400 and my bent just yesterday as it happens.

  • I dont know too much about helis but maybe your gyro isnt good?

  • Too much turbulence being created in that small room. Move outside or to a gym.

  • feathering shafts piss me off

  • heyy i have a blade cp pro and same problem, my main shaft is bent, how did you take yours off?

  • my blade 400 had a monsterous bent feathering shaft. i had never taken apart a rc heli before. taking off the main grip and feathering shaft is prob the most difficult part out of all things that can break. there are over 19 different washers bearings orings etc etc. check out the exploded view that came with your heli and follow that to the "t"

  • Thank you

  • Its NOT that hard,I hav done nolie about 20 feathering shafts in 3 helis, actually, after a fewit gets to be fun.

  • its a easy fix just make sure no small parts fall inside your motor put a small bag over it with a rubberband

  • @ilikecheetos12 An easy way to do the feathering shaft job is once you have undone the feathering shaft screws, slide a spare flybar rod through the hole and push out the feathering shaft. The flybar rod holds all of the washers and orings in place and then you can slide back through a new feathering shaft.

  • @frankovich213 Great tip!

  • both shafts in the main rotor also make sure you 0 pitch a mid stick and +10/-10 in the range. to check you will need to be in stunt mode with motor unpluged

    also pitch curve could be off.

    stock is 0-32-50-75-100 pitch in normal

    0=-10

    50=0

    100=+10

    in stunt stock curve 0-25-50-75-100

  • thanks for the input. Is there a particular pitch gauge you like?

  • EFlite makes a nice inexpensive one.

  • The shake at the end may be because your blades aren't balanced. I saw where you had the blade strike on the driveway. What repairs did you do?

    The Blade is fun, isn't it?

    Jim

  • Those are new blades. Thats it. I am getting ready to order a feathering shaft and a main shaft. This thing is a ball.

  • check your messages in your mailbox

  • Need more pich in blades.Try turning servo rods that go from servos to swashplate in 2-3 turns.

  • What about the shake at the end, do you think it may the the shaft?

  • guess you fixed it by now but I think the shake is usually from a bext blade axis and then less likely the main shaft. Could also be the feathering shaft they always bent too!

  • Thanks, it was the feathering and main shaft.

  • make sure your servos are all even at midstick and swash is level change out all bad parts last blade tracking is a must
