I used this technique to smoke some chicken legs. In addition to indirect heat, I took the flavorizer bars off the burner to the far right. I put a 12" (pecan) smoking log over that burner directly on the grill. I cooked the chicken for a about a hour and half. Turned out great! Indirect heat completely avoids having to deal with flare ups. It also allows for long, slow cooking time so the meat has time to absorb the smoke.

I could use a little more explanation on the settings of the burners to get the best circulation of the heat. I only have 4 burners, so what would be best for indirect heat on that configuration?
4 burners huh think about it, you want the center to be off so you can put your food in the middle, so think, you should turn off the first 2 inner burners and keep the two outer burners on medium. Its not a a hard concept. If you only have 2 burners which I have, then I turn one burner on medium and have the other side burner turned off, and on that burner is where the meat is put on, not on the burner that is on.
turn on the two side burners and turn off the two middle burners. the two side burners should be at a moderate heat (350 F) but you can go as low as 300 F and up to 400 F. dont forget to close your lid.

you can boil ribs in a pan usin any kind of beer.some seasonings u like ketchup and molasses.put ribs in pan add 1 can of beer ketchup half a cup and add molasses some chopped onions and cook till tender which is about 20 mins.. have your grill ready slow cooking on grill. have same sauce in cup for e basting.they only take another 20 to 30 mins.their done tasty tender ribs..any kind of ribs. you can add salt pepper garlc powder to ur sauce or whatever u like to make it ur own..enjoy

That brush she used is made in China, and the handle is made of plastic, and it will eventually melt and become worthless after 2 to 3 grills.

those ribs are cooked wrong... their is no flavour and they are not seared off first so all the juices would be lost ...
Marinate your ribs first !!!! sear off, marinare for 6 hours in bbq sauce then grill on LOW for about 2 hourst then add more bbq sauce.
