How to ride a long board

I'm left footed but when I get both feet on my board I'm facing the right? What does that mean? An what's the best way for me to get better?

ACCTUAALLY there is a differend method to the first part:

1: start leaning forward until you almost fall.

whatever foot you catch yourself on before hitting your face should be the foot that goes up front becuase it will support you. hope that helped?
