  • That is indeed a wolf spider. A female. I keep one as a pet. I had two, but had to release one because she wouldn't eat. The remaining spider seems to be thriving in her terrarium. I'm also in Ohio, and that one looks just like my Wiggy. It's hard to tell just how big the spider in the video is, but I'd still be willing to bet Wiggy would give her a run for her money in the size category; Wiggy's HUGE!

  • F*** the BB gun! Get your 22!!

  • Don't know where you're from, but that is not a wolf spider, it's way to big. It could be related, but it looks more like a cross between a tarantula and a jumping spider. If there is a species of wolf spider that gets that big where you live, I'm moving there! XD I love spiders!

  • burn it

  • we have wolf spiders in british columbia canada,

i saw one on a dairy farm that was like 6 or more inches in length, the back on it was the size of a plumb. i fucking hate spiders. kill em all.

  • dude. the wolf spider i saw, the back part of it was the size of a plumb, the legs were like 4 inches.

  • you push the cam too much!

  • Shotgun dude. No worries mate.

  • pretend you're homeless. you're looking for shelter, warmth and a ready supply of food. i shoot you with a shotgun.

  • @insan0B Epic... lol

  • it is a wolf spider. wish the video was clearer though.

  • This s a huntsman spider I think. They like ginormous wolf spiders, up to 10 inches. I had 2 or 3 in my houses basement a few years ago. I haven't seen any in a while though :-(.

    I want one for a pet :-(

  • i live in north east US, in Pennsylvania, biggest spiders ive seen here are about 10-12 cm in diameter

  • At night, take a flashlight and scan around your house/fences and see how big these suckers are when they reveal themselves!!

  • I just caught one of these today in my dining room. It's a beast. You're right though. The camera doesn't do it justice.

  • i had a big wolf spider crawling up the rec room curtains the other night, put it in a cup and took it outside, we have alot of them outside around here

  • Take a flashlight out with you at night, and hold it next to your head. Make the light point where you look. See all those dots? Spiders, mate. I have a phobia of the little buggers, but I appreciate them. Fascinating.

  • *SQUASH*

  • Is that the eyes making reflections with the flashlight, like a deer in headlights?

  • Yes. Their eyes "shine" just like anything else. Cold blue sapphires. Don't even seem to be livin.. Till they bite ya..

  • that think is a tank.

  • How big was that spider? Did you catch it? Great shot.

  • we eventually put it outside.

    i mean, it is a family's house.

i'd say that it was about 5 centimeter circumference with the legs unextended.

and for you entomologists, this siting was in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, 44023.

  • That definitely would be pretty scary to have crawl across your bed at night. We had one that we kept for several months before she died. I was afraid to put her back outside because of my four kids either killing her or her biting them. We had a great time feeding her and watching her run around her tank. Thanks for putting up the video.

  • i dont think it was a tarantula, shulda kept it iv seen a couple giant spiders in a place where there arnt very many, i wish i stoped to catch em

  • Wolf Spiders are not true tarantulas. True Tarantulas have hairy legs.

  • ughhhhh... that spider gives me the creeps
