hi silly qiuestion but i bought this phone yesterday 2nd hand and it was working realy good but when i tried to charge it it wouldnt charge so today i went out and bought a new battery and its still wont charge ive been trying three differnt chragers and none work do you have any idea wht could be up with it x
very good. i used this to get the phone apart to take the camera out (i work for a gov't contractor that fabricates, machines, paints, and assembles Abrams, Stryker, and other vehicles) if you're wondering why i'd take the camera out of a blackberry...lol. TIP: the camera pops out from the left side of the phone as you hold it looking at the back. very easy to remove and reinstall undamaged if the need be.
Just managed to round one of the screws off nicely trying to use a T6 screwdriver. It would seem that, at least for my 9500, the screws are T7. Just a warning to others.
I took apart my blackberry storm 9530 and now when i put it back to gether the LOCK button on top does not work at all... so when my phone automatically locks i have to take the battery out and reset it.. there are 2 rubber pieces which i believe cover certain screws which i think have something to do with this problem.. can u please tell me where the rubber pieces go on the phone????? Greatly appreciated.. thanks a whole lot!!!! ♥
Don't buy from this company it's a scam!! I bought a lens for my blackberry and they never sent it!! They are in Hong Kong and took my money via paypal and never sent the lens!! And there is no way to get in touch with them!!! The number they post to call is a recording that just talks Chinese!!

SCREEN RECOMMENDATION! You may be tempted to just buy the TOUCH glass if yours is cracked. DONT WASTE THE TIME OF MONEY! 1. The touch glass connector is soldered to the flex circuit of the LCD panel. 2. You have to pry the layers of the LCD and Touch pad apart in order to feed the touch connector between the layers. During this process you have a high likelyhood of breaking or damaging the connectors of the LCD panel!
Where do you buy the little pry tool. I want to replace the "chrome" piece around the phone but I dont want to scratch the rest of the phone in the process.
P.S. is it just me or do the edges of this phone scratch way to easy?
I just looked inside mine and the screws are torqs can't tell you a size though. You can get a whole set of the screw drivers at radio shack. This type of screw is common in electronics.
so for reassembly is soldering the removed antenna cables and ribbon cables involved? I'm interested in replacing my top plate cover (one with blackberry logo) and possibly the bezel to a black one both are scratched but if I have to solder I might just pul a cover up with a case
im confused... how does this prove anything??? who is going to start picking at the sides so much its gonna come off then who is going to unscrew it and say it is not well put together.. i could do the same thing with my 50 inch screen tv..
great, thank you

That actually looks way easier than most phones. I might want to buy one of these off my friend and fix the screen for a profit.

the best technology is the one that consumers can get the most inside, I have taken apart my xbox 360 numerous times to make it never overheat AGAIN

it's always good to know your technology inside and out. i own a blackberry storm, and i'm very glad to now know every detail of it.
you spend hundreds of dollars on it! you better know how to take care of it and work it
