  • If you don't have FIRE in heart, body and mind you are not saved.

  • give up(your old life) give in(to the renewing power of Christ) get in(to a chuch/fellowship of TRUE believers) or get out(of the way of those who seek the kingdom of God)

  • horrible background music brothers. Just my opinion. Peace

  • I love it!!

  • @blindbychoice

If you love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind--you would repent. If you have a real relationship with God, he will help you repent. God has helped me eradicate countless sins in my life--that is how I know he has made me a new creation and continues to do so. Remember that when the gospel was preached by the apostles--people who heard were "cut to the heart". They had guilt!! Being a Christian means dying to your sinful self.

  • Please tell me he wasn't serious about the stars and planets....

  • I wont believe, I wont obey. Prefer own thinking.

  • What was his name? Paul Wanker? Something like that. Would you buy a used car from that asshole?

  • This guy is so dramatic. GOD is not about hype. I don't believe in GOD-I know GOD. Belief systems can be torn down but to know GOD and have true relationship with him can never be brought down. Love the LORD your GOD with all your heart mind and soul and love peolpe the same way, The HOLY SPIRT works in you and GOD is making you perfect everyday. Don't let this joker lay a guilt trip on you. If you are stuck in sin you-you'll make it out. I PROMISE YOU-YOU'LL MAKE IT. GOD LOVES YOU. GOD IS LOVE!

  • oh wow! Praise God, my Lord Jesus, this is amazing, wow wow, My God is Mighty, Might IS HIS NAME!!

  • This message is not wrong! it does not go far enough! Jesus died for us because we cannot keep the law in our own strength, only HE did not sin! Sin is transgression of the law(1Jn3:4). We need the Holy Spirit to strengthen us to Obey(John14:15-16) the 10 commandments, as SANCTIFICATION. It was the CEREMONIAL law (sheepskin not stone, kept outside ark not inside)that contained the curses, and was nailed to the tree. The law which GOD wrote with HIS own HAND is permanent! To say otherwise is FALSE

  • this video is ludicrous. this is all just lukewarm, empty rhetoric.

  • v=OiTbcDeFuhI

  • 5 stars great video

  • Thank God I'm Catholic!

  • I just watched this video & now i dont know if im rly saved or not! how do i rly know? i feel like i cant trust my own heart bc of its wickedness. i pray all the time & i ask for forgiveness not just on sundays but all the time bc no one is perfect & i probly sin even when i dont know it so ask for forgiveness for everythign i do bc i dont know if i might be sinning by accident or not. how will i ever know for sure if i am saved if i cant trust my heart? does anyone else have this problem?

  • 1)Mfields? You're sorry for your sin yes? You've asked Jesus to come into your heart & that His blood be applied to your sin yes? Salvation is an act of God. You will never be perfect & you are not saved upon the basis of what you feel. Feelings can change with the weather. Neither are you called to walk in lifetime insecurity. You are saved because God guarentees it for His name's sake. It is His Spirit at work in us to will & do of His good pleasure. ....

  • 2)It is Christ in me the hope of my salvation. It is because God is faithful to complete the work He began in you my dear fellow servant. His blood that cleanses you from all unrighteousness. You cannot add to or take away from it & God keeps His word. Jesus said; 'If you love me, you will keep my commandments.' What are His commandments? That we love one another as He loved us. ....

  • 3)That we love the Lord our God with all our heart & mind & might & serve only Him. That we love our neighbours as ourselves. That we seek as the most important priority in our lives, the Kingdom of God & His righteousness ( His reign & Rule in every area of our lives by walking in the relationship procured for us through Jesus blood which justifies us & makes us acceptable to God.) And this is how we achieve obedience. It is His gift to us ...

  • 4)For you have not been given a Spirit of fear but of courage & a sound mind. Courage to grasp hold of God through Jesus who will never, never, never leave nor foresake you. So you need not walk in terror & certainly can't obey out of fear. Until Jesus comes we will not be perfected & if any man says that he does not sin? He is a liar & the truth is not in him. ....

  • 5)The joy of our Salvation is the joy of walking with & knowing Him. It can never be earned & anyone that tells you different is an Anti-Christ.

The Lord bless you, The Lord keep you, The Lord lift up His countenance upon you & give you peace 'til comes The New Jerusalem.

Your brother, friend & servant in Him, by His grace alone. : )

  • thanks! that made me feel better & that makes sense :) i was rly worried there for a second that i was a phony believer! im still in that phase where sometimes bible teachings scare me a little bit but i kno i dont have anything to worry about if i just trust Jesus & do what he commands.

  • @ MFields. Sis, you heard the Gospel & believed it to be the truth because God Himself revealed it to you. It was because of that that you called Him into your life & that hon is REPENTENCE. (Also His gift). Read Hebrews 11. It was Abraham's belief demonstrated by his doing what God told him to that was counted to him as righteousness & Rahab the harlot of Jericho who believed & because of her belief hid God's spies. These examples in James are cited by him as evidence of good work. All blessing

  • P.S. Holiness is being set aside for God & His purposes. Sanctification is the gift of God & the action of His Holy Spirit in us. No man is justified by keeping the Law. Jesus was/is the fullfillment of the Law. The Law was put there to teach us how impossible it is for us to obey it. For even if we do so in the flesh we break it in our hearts. Jesus said; If you look at a woman in sin or wish your brother ill, you have commited adultery & murder in your heart.' Paraphrased. Gbu :)

  • 5 *s!! Fantastic msg. God Bless!!

  • This sounds horrible. It's just like how a woman whose husband beats her convinces her that she deserves to be punished so that when he is nice she clings to him all the more strongly. Why would you want to be a member of a religion that constantly puts you down? How can it feel good to feel bad about yourself?

  • u obviously dont no anything about GOD. he doesnt make me feel bad about myself at all. i feel bad about myself bc i am a sinner not bc god makes me feel bad.

  • Do you believe you are a sinner because of a natural tendency to disobey GODDD? Isn't it his example that you fall short of and therefore need his grace for salvation from an eternity of punishment?

  • thats bc humans sinned. adam & eve were sinners & gave birth to sinners. god didnt make us that way. he told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge but they did anyway.

  • Okay, you win. I'm a christian now.

  • Are you refering to the video or to these comments?

  • My original comment referred to the video. The sarcastic comment about being a christian now referred to Mfields222's inane comment. It was my way of refusing to debate a tired biblical point with an illiterate.

  • Oh, well I haven't kept count with the comments here, seems liek a lot of talking. So what religion or belief do you obtain to?

  • I'm not religious or spiritual. I'm atheist.

  • Atheists would not deny the illusory bliss of morphine to an agonizing dying patient... but both Atheists and Christians would deny it to a person agonizing with depression... specially if we dianose the depression is due to wrong assumptions and not to a chemical imbalance, in which case the antidepressants aren't illusory, but are rather reestablishing the balance that itself creates an illusion of doom.

  • Damn... wrong reply.

  • @Mfields222 "u obviously dont no anything about GOD. he doesnt make me feel bad about myself at all. i feel bad about myself bc i am a sinner"

The Christian god set rules that no human has the capability to follow. Humans can't follow those rules because the Christian god made us in such a way that we somehow inherited the faults of our fathers. Who but the Christian god blames you for what Adam and Eve did in Eden?

  • God doesn't blame me for what Adam&Eve did. They did those things and GOD is the one who sent JESUS for me so that I have a way to be saved b/c Adam&Eve created the sin by being tricked by Satan. GOD sent Jesus b/c he loves us.

  • Wow! I never heard it like that! Thank you!!!!!

  • But god is supposedly omniscient, which means he would have known b4hand that this was going to happen. He is also omnipresent, which means he was supposedly there the whole time while the devil was tempting eve,& he did nothing?? & then even though he KNOWS this is going to happen, he punishes them for it??

God creates imperfect beings only to punish them for being imperfect. Its not logical that we would all go to hell by default if it weren't for god sacrificing himself to appease himself.

  • Yes, he is omniscent and omnipresent, but if you read bible you know that his will cannot be "undone", or taken back. He knew beforehand that people will turn against Him because you are angry on what you insulted (this is for your deep consideration), but still he wanted to share His joys with us. Look at yourself, angels didn't have the honour to be saved from eternal death but you are and this is because they knew God better than we. You still have time until the moment comes.

  • Thats not logical at all. If a god is all-loving & wants his creations in heaven w/ him, it doesnt make sense that he would create them, knowing in advance that he will be so angry w/ them that he will send them to hell. "he wanted to share his joys..." doesnt come close to making this situation more logical, just more confusing. The thing u brought up about the angels raises only more of my concerns about this flawed ideology.

  • @HBanana55: Yes, that's typical for us that we want to understand God by means of our point of view. We would like to make Him according to the image that we have in our minds. But if you really want to know more about Him just read the bible (The Old and New Testament) not seeking for errors. In the Bible you have some words that His ways are not those of humans... You are against many things at the beginning and this prevents you to learn the answers to your questions.

  • @slownikqwerty

I used to be a christian. I used to believe in god and it wasn't until after I started reading the bible that I started questioning my beliefs. I opened the bible w/ a christian mindset and closed it with a different one. It wasn't instantaneous, it took about a year & a half for me to become an atheist. I spent that entire time looking for answers from the bible & from other christians.

    contd....

  • You've also raised another concern. If we can't "understand him by means of our point of view", then how can we be expected to understand him at all? How can we trust a god (whose "ways are not those of humans") like that if he is purposely not able to be understood? The bible is the cause of my disbelief, I don't expect any answers from it b/c it has given me nothing. I am glad I read it tho, being atheist is much better than being christian.

  • I guess it's all about faith and if you can trust without asking questions, just simple yes and off you go... It seems to me that if God's ways were also ours we would go too far... That's why if you simply refuse to obey His laws He still takes care of you because He knows better than you that if He was to let you go on your own you wouldn't go too far. If you seek for questions I recommend you Diary of Saint Maria Faustyna Kowalska available in english. CDN...

  • Maybe there you can find something more about your concerns. And reading a bible and taking care only for mistakes is quite unjust. What about the positive aspects of it?? Is there nothing that attracts your attention more than some "mistakes"?

  • @Slownikqwerty

"What about the positive aspects of it?"

Thats like asking "well, what about all the good things Hitler did?"

"I guess it's all about faith and if you can trust without asking questions..."

If there is no empirical evidence, then I don't see why I should waste my time worshiping and apologizing for every little "sin" to a god I don't even know for sure exists.

"That's why if you simply refuse to obey His laws He still takes care of you..."

    Thats not always the case.

  • @HBanana55, well, I wouldn't dare to try and list good things Hitler did. Empirical evidence... Wouldn't only taking this into consideration be a matter of denying that there is something more that we can experience? Like you are studying and you, at the beginning, don't know what the outcome will be, but still you do it. Maybe a similar analogy can be observed in case of God? Maybe you have to learn or at least try to do so in order to know Him better? CDN...

  • 2@HBanana55. There is a passage in the bible saying something like this: Draw nearer to God and He will draw nearer to you. And I strongly recommend you to see if there is Diary of Saint Faustyna in your bookstore or library. There you can find many answers and at least try to learn more about the case of salvation, life. It's basically a good book on the way people should live.

  • Why do you believe you're unable to avoid sin? Traditional Christian theology claims it happens because the sin of Adam tainted all of his children. I.e. Adam was made in such way that his fault would force all of his children to transgress Trigod's rules.

  • @Mfields222 Be careful what you teach, my friend. What you are saying is not found in scripture, it's from your own rationolization of it. Either that or you are repeating something you've heard elsewhere, and you have not bothered to test it in the word of God. To me what you are saying is this: "Jesus had to die to clean up the mess of Adam and Eve, so that they wouldn't ruin the party for the rest of us"

  • @Illraw That is what scripture teaches. Jesus died for our sins. If he hadn't died for our sins (the sins Adma&Eve made also called original sin), then god only knows what would happen to us. It is through the Jesus sacrifice on the cross, the blood of the lamb, that we are saved.

  • @Mfields222 Adam and Eve created sin because they had been deceived by satan?

    Well didn't God create satan?

  • @THADI0US He needed to give us a choice or we'd be robots

  • @Mfields222 If there is an omnipotent omniscient being who created everything then all that occurs in this universe each and every individual action of each and every particle would be his will, how can you then hold men accountable for the actions you created them to do in a sense you would be passing judgement on yourself.

It's a total contradiction formulated by the limited minds of of crazy zealots in bronze age history. Just because men have killed for it doesn't mean it's true.

  • @Eikinkloster No - He does not - we a blamed for our own sins, no-one else's. You don't know the Bible.

  • Where is the passage that corresponds to the whole bible that claims that Christian God blames us for the sin done by Adam and Eve? Who if not He was to send His son and maka Him sin for us? The Old and New Testaments are very much related to each other. I think you should read both of them. Yes, I agree, Christianity may seem difficult, but if you look at it without the penchant to seek for faults you can do a lot of good around you- this is very little about everything...

  • @slownikqwerty Romans 5:12-14 Therefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, so death passed onto all men, for all have sinned.(...) Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the similitude of Adam's transgression, he being the figure of Him that was to come.

    Corinthians 15:21-22 For since by man came death, by Man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive;

  • @Eikinkloster: Thank you for your response, I do recognise those passages but only as examples of how much He loves us. Yes, I agree, some people may understand it as if God blames us for the sin of Adam but it is rather to remind us how much He loves us and how much He cares. We need to be reminded of what we are in order to keep our wild desires quiet. It is we who should not be trusted. Those passages correspond with all the salvation going on since Jesus came to the earth.

  • Great message..

  • Pt 3 and she became born again. After I was saved what was birthed in me was such a hunger for God's word that from the time I graduated highschool til now I have bought more books on Christianity and the bible and always thirsed to nlearn more-I would just say a lost man would not spend as much money just to learn the word of God and ewven today in Logos spend more money and spend more time reading and studying the bible. Where your heart be there your treasure will be also-lost people dont do

  • Since that time I recieved Christ as Lord and Saviour had more women throw themselves at me often times to ruin nmy testimony and I mean when going to High School and the prettiest sexiest woman offers yourself to you and all your friends envied you and could not figure out how I could turn her down. A couple years later she came to my church (I had moved away) and she told me thank you for turning her down-she could not understand it and that was when God worked in her life using my testimony

  • I am glad it angered people my answer to Bro Washer would be first I got saved while going through puberty and between the one week of someone sharing the Lord I had a very hard time as I was loking forward to fornicating and as a 12 yr old young man just knew(no one preached this as giving somethingup just what came to mind) I could not live that life if I became a Christian but always had this sense I loved God. When all said and done it is better to love God then to love women and fornicating

  • Excellent message!

  • I really enjoyed this preacher,I think the best preachers challenge you with God,s word and this guy was challenging,We need to be challenged,

  • Very good video. But please, the music is to loud. Thank you.

  • Good video. ;)

The message people don't want to hear is the one they need.

  • Paul Washer may be a nice man but the bible does not say to Repent and Believe but to only Believe. If we need to Repent of our sins - this is works.

What works must we do to know for sure we are saved?

  • When you repent, it is evidence of faith that you are turning away from the evil ways of the flesh & constantly turning towards Christ, to walk by the spirit and not the flesh

  • 1)Actually & meaning no offence to you my friend if you look up what John The Baptist preached, What Jesus after him preached & what the Apostles after Him preached. The sentence is 'Repent & Believe the Gospel' That does not mean that you work your way into Heaven, but that you grieve over your sin, both the nature, which will constantly be at war with the Spirit within you & individual sins that may beset & entangle you. ...

  • 2)It means falling at the foot of the cross & constantly beseaching God to deliver you from them, that you sin not against Him. It involves falling & getting up again & trying to walk after the Spirit. It is the Alcoholic that daily struggles not to drink, it is the man addicted to pornography or sexual devience that daily laments it & struggles to turn away when it has them gripped by the throat, trying to strangle the life out of them. ...

  • 3)It is the broken & contrite heart that knows that it cannot by any means save itself & kneels at the foot of the cross. It is a gift of God, like Salvation, Sanctification, Wisdom & Discernment & must be sought without rest if it is to be vanquished. It is not condemnation but conviction & the call of God to bring it to Him. To bring it into the light where He can deal with it but it does involve our walking in it. ....

  • 4)Not in constant fear, doubting our salvation or the work that Jesus has done but seeking earnestly the Kingdom of God & His righteousness (His reign & Rule in our hearts in every area.) It is an active sign of the Holy Spirit at work in us to will us to do of His good pleasure.

    Every blessing : )

Your brother, friend & servant in Him, by His grace alone.

  • WLinesman,

I agree that our hearts will change to know that salvation and all hope is dependent upon God(Jesus Christ) and not of ourselves. Only through the power of the Holy Spirit can I change and not becoming religious or trying to stop myself sinning on my strength.

The Lord works on his servants on his timing and not ours. I have been a Christian since 1992 and through time - God has worked on specific things I need to change. It is a lifetime process.

    God Bless You Brother!

  • @WLinesman,

I guess the main point is that God knows our hearts. When Paul Washer says that if we are saved - we will not act like Brittany Spears. The problem with that statement is that people start focusing on themselves to change rather than letting the Holy Spirit change them. God will never leave you or forsake you.

I hate sin also but telling people they are not saved if there sinning is not in line with the Gospel or Jesus Christ. In fact, the Pharisees did righteous works.

  • WLinesman,

    Thank you for your comments.

  • Absolutely my friend. The Thief crucified next to Him had nothing to offer but his belief. Which was expressed by his plee to be remembered. I'm sorry if I didn't make this clear. I guess I just read what is preached here as warning Believer's not to compromise or be complacent with sin because God isn't & doesn't. Yet even if I die in the next 2 mins I will still be with Him.

Every profound blessing in Him, 'til comes The New Jerusalem.

Your brother, friend & servant, by His grace alone.

  • AMEN
