Eclipse did WHAT? When? Deathly Hallows is SO much more mature, dark and brilliant than any of the damned Twilight serie books. But then again - popularity/selling ranks don't always mean necessarely better. I personally think a big part of Twilight's success these days is caused by the OVER-RATIVE HYPE and the fact it's advertised as vampire novels, which they so are not and so many people probably buy them without lookin into the thing first.
I don't know why they keep saying "Eclipse knocked Deathly Hallows off bestseller list." It did it after HP was up there for 40+ weeks...
Also, Harry Potter is much more mature in the last few books in the fact that many good characters die. In the Twilight books, NO MAJOR CHARACTER DIES! Jeez, and love isn't the most mature thing out there. Facing death in the face, courage, and the value of family/friends is at the center of HP.

Warner bros decided to release HP in July simply because the Dark Knight did so well during that time and they thought it was smarter. However Twilight was pushed up because they no longer had to fear competition from Harry Potter.

We all know which is better. I might be biased aboutt he fact that Twilight suck. I mean, I never even thought about reading the damn book.

Eclipse did WHAT? When? Deathly Hallows is SO much more mature, dark and brilliant than any of the damned Twilight serie books. But then again - popularity/selling ranks don't always mean necessarely better. I personally think a big part of Twilight's success these days is caused by the OVER-RATIVE HYPE and the fact it's advertised as vampire novels, which they so are not and so many people probably buy them without lookin into the thing first.

I don't know why they keep saying "Eclipse knocked Deathly Hallows off bestseller list." It did it after HP was up there for 40+ weeks...
Also, Harry Potter is much more mature in the last few books in the fact that many good characters die. In the Twilight books, NO MAJOR CHARACTER DIES! Jeez, and love isn't the most mature thing out there. Facing death in the face, courage, and the value of family/friends is at the center of HP.

Only strong enough wizards can use the avada kadavra spell and anyways...vampires are too fast for wizards so a vampire could easily dodge their spells and then they could come up behind a wizard and snap them like a twig!!!

not rly wut the book said about avada kedavra. Also vampires are considered to be werewolves enemies, and werewolves do bring a tough battle between them and vampires (underworld, and yeah, i know it sucked). In harry potter there are werewolves and in the third movie, we see clearly how a wizard pwns a werewolf. Also, if you dont want to use the avada kedavra spell, just use petrificus totalus and then beat it to death. And I vampires arent like in twilight, but they are like in nosferatu

Twilight had literally no effect on the release date of Harry Potter. Warner bros decided to release HP in July simply because the Dark Knight did so well during that time and they thought it was smarter. However Twilight was pushed up because they no longer had to fear competition from Harry Potter.

Well DAMN!!! I have read ALL the twilight books and have seen the movie and actually, i needed something else to hold my attention for a while so ive started up on the books of Harry Potter and im on Chapter 13 of Goblet of Fire and this video just ruined that part about Cedric Diggory (Rob) beats Harry in that competion! lol oh wellz
And so far, i love both, both r amazing, but i stand by Twilight. Im not no lover of Edward and Bella, i actually am obessed about Alice and Jasper ;) so chill...

Everyone has different opinions. I personally think Harry Potter is better because everything is more planned out. Think about it. In twilight sure there's a plot but all the books don't connect together in the same clever way as HP. Everything from the first book to the last is connected in HP.
