I kayaked through winding river park just last month. A beautiful stretch of Toms River runs through there. Thanks for the video. We should meet up for a hike next time you come down here.
You can kayak through there? So that river that runs through the park is Toms River for which the town is named for. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I dont know next time I'll get a chance to go down there. Anyway I know that river runs south from there, the east to the bay. I think it runs right behind the bus terminal but unfortunately in back of the bus terminal it's all fenced off with no tresspassing signs. You should put some videos up on your channel of your trips.
Yes, Toms River runs through there. check it out on google maps. I have a canoe and three kayakas, so if you and some of your friends ever want to do a paddle, let me know! I don't know how to make videos and upload them. you'd have to help me with that
I never paddled before, but I bet it sounds quite nice. I can help you upload videos. Does your computer have a video editor such as Windows Movie Maker? Or you can upload videos straight from the files, they are usually .avi files, and all you have to do is click upload and select the file. I'd really like to see some photos and images of the river since alot of it accessible only by canoe. The Peconic River here on LI is very nice too. Be sure to check out my latest video there.
Fantastic. Was this a municipal park, or a county park, or what? I've never heard of it, but then again, Toms River is quite far away from here Do you know the exit number on the GSP there? The exits here are in the 40s.
By the way, I asked the exit number because exit numbers correspond with mileages from Mile 0 in Cape May or Cape May Point. One time I was up somewhere in Lacy Township and I accidently got as far north as South Toms River. So that's as far as I've gone in the Pine Barrens except when travelling on the GSP.

I think it's a municipal park. I dont know the exit number, I think it's off route 37 though. The same road goes to Lakehurst.
