we're accustomed to rocket launches up here. it happens several times a month. I've seen rockets do similar stuff but nothing quite like this.

When you live above the arctic circle, you see some crazy shit, what with there being a enormous hole in the magnetosphere up here.

I've seen aurora borealis that would make a ufo enthusiast run for the hills in an instant. I've had unexplained "flashes" that numbed my car radio. I turned it off/on and the channels came back. (que x-files music here).

Yeah it does seem like it was a missile/rocket.. The blue spiral at the back makes sense to me, but I'm still not grasping the white spiral yet though. It still looks rather different than any rocket I've ever seen. Probably pretty advanced, even if it did go out of control.

geez people, if anyone did 10 minutes of research into any of this stuff they'd learn that there are far fewer "mysteries" in this world than they thought. The reason for the symmetrical spiraling is that the missile failed during its 3rd phase, and began spiraling. By that time the missile was probably at the limit of earth's atmosphere and all you'll see is the bright light from the missile exhaust. You can find similar videos of similar missile fails. None of this should be mysterious.

If this was something as common as a failed missile test, then everyone would already know about spiraling blue lights, but obviously this is a very unique sight.

And if it's supposedly a missile, then why is the spiral so perfect and symmetrical? Just doesn't make sense to me. Aliens or advanced human technology, I don't know, but obviously it's a mystery. 5/5 for presentation. :)
