could posibly be northern lights, and although rare, they have been able to reach pretty far from the arctic, or it could be somthing else... who knows
we're accustomed to rocket launches up here. it happens several times a month. I've seen rockets do similar stuff but nothing quite like this.
When you live above the arctic circle, you see some crazy shit, what with there being a enormous hole in the magnetosphere up here.
I've seen aurora borealis that would make a ufo enthusiast run for the hills in an instant. I've had unexplained "flashes" that numbed my car radio. I turned it off/on and the channels came back. (que x-files music here).
The Russians are usually open with infomation to things like UFO's etc so if they initially denied it was a missle it's obviously some sort of a cover up.
Wow the story has changed. "what appeared to be a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain. It stopped mid-air, then began to circulate ... Within seconds a giant spiral had covered the entire sky. Then a green-blue beam of light shot out from its center - lasting for ten to twelve minutes before disappearing completely."
if it's a missle then where is that blue spiral light coming from or going?!?!?!?!? you see this type of thing happening in cartoons where they're opening a "worm hole"... like they say .."life imitates art"
A simple understanding of orbital mechanics, you can see it is just a missile venting out one side. It's really quite beautiful and totally human in origin.
Yeah it does seem like it was a missile/rocket.. The blue spiral at the back makes sense to me, but I'm still not grasping the white spiral yet though. It still looks rather different than any rocket I've ever seen. Probably pretty advanced, even if it did go out of control.
this is freaky the spiral is infont of the contrail kinda like its hovering and then shooting out a smoke trail ....thse guys put out a story like were total dumbasses ....ive got high speed internet and ive seen thousands of NASA and russian space program rockets blown up..example the challenger in1987 or discovery in 2007 plus chinese indian iranian iraqi scuds intercepted over israel ...comon were not stupid thats not a rocket!!! do your research dont belive the "official story"
Is it a ray of God?, is it a Black hole from LHC?, is it a Blue Beam experiment?, is it the star that follow the Magiciants Kings in the land of Santa Claus?. Now is the Messiah?, is it an alien invasion?, is it a synchronizer ray from the galaxy center which Mayas speaking about?.
Mystery solved, it was a failed russian missile test. Failed during third stage, and the black hole is the missile self destructing at the edge of earth's atmosphere.
LMAO!, dude ur mind is corrupted, ur listen what the media tells u, does that look like a missile to you?, does any missile have a blue tail? & start spinning & making a hole & dissapearing?.... didnt think soo, my thought "project blue beam" or a wormhole
geez people, if anyone did 10 minutes of research into any of this stuff they'd learn that there are far fewer "mysteries" in this world than they thought. The reason for the symmetrical spiraling is that the missile failed during its 3rd phase, and began spiraling. By that time the missile was probably at the limit of earth's atmosphere and all you'll see is the bright light from the missile exhaust. You can find similar videos of similar missile fails. None of this should be mysterious.
If this was something as common as a failed missile test, then everyone would already know about spiraling blue lights, but obviously this is a very unique sight.
And if it's supposedly a missile, then why is the spiral so perfect and symmetrical? Just doesn't make sense to me. Aliens or advanced human technology, I don't know, but obviously it's a mystery. 5/5 for presentation. :)
The Russian military have aleady confirmed it was a failed sea-launched ballistic misile test heading over the Arctic Ocean. It failed during 3rd stage flight, and the black hole you see is the missile self destructing.
Russia's new nuclear-capable Bulava missile has suffered a new failure in testing which was the likely source of a mysterious light that appeared over Norway, Russian newspaper reports said Thursday.
The submarine-launched Bulava missile was test-fired from the Dmitry Donskoi submarine in the White Sea early Wednesday but failed at the third stage, the Kommersant and Vedomosti newspapers reported, quoting defence sources.

Perhaps it was a secret science experiment aimed at an unusual configuration in the magnetosphere?

I didn't believe the missile thing either until I looked it up. It's totally possible that this is a missile.
