ahhh Dude, this is Beat It not Thriller, and Orquestra Voadora is not a new band, unless you are speaking relatively as in three years is a short time in the life or Rio Carnival bands.

This band is WICKED DURACALHO!! Its not a 'roots' band ie "do samba" but they destroy any party anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ponho "new band" , pois senão gringo só entende das 80-90s - MPB ou Banda de Ipanema...

Explico; ."roots" sim, no sentido que nasceu em movimento espontâneo do Rio, independente, sem patrocínio ou jabá...This is pure roots AND samba!!

Crescimento orgânico que revitalizou o cenário de samba no Rio como MDC, Empolga, Bloco Cru, Monobloco e tantos outros...
