@Valmarith Many Norwegians I speak to say they believe in "something" And its probably geographical as to where the beliefs lie. eg . The southern part of Norway is very christian influenced. Whereas not so much in the north. Although some of the Stave churches there are beautiful I think the personal beliefs might not be so relative but there is quite a strong influence from religion.I work in Norway a lot by the way.
Most Norwegians believe in 'something spiritual' such as spirits, ghosts, or some unseen force, but that does not translate into Christianity nor support for the Church. Only 29% of Norwegians believe in a Church or Deity, most of us would qualify as spiritual but not religious.
That is all kind of beside the point of embracing science by the way, being religious or spiritual does not translate into rejecting science. In my experience most Norwegians have no problem embracing science.

I like to point out the lack of recognition for Darwin in the USA to my Biology students. I opine that it's probably because Darwin wasn't American so maybe that is why nothing happens here, regarding Darwin or his work. Seems the only people in the USA who celebrate Darwin are mostly people in Science or folks who have figured out the truth about life and the reason for it's diversity. Two new 'Origin of Species' hardcover books are in our library because of me, in a public high school no less.
I never thought about the effect of Darwin being British, one can only speculate what course history would have taken if he'd been born on this side of the Atlantic!

The fossils you are requiring are millions of years old and since the earth changes, so would the areas we would have to look for them, under oceans, mountains and so forth. When a "missing link" is found, it creates two new gaps for you, you will never be satisfied. Gravity is a theory, the heliocentric solar system is a theory and atomic theory... do you have a problem with them?

dont complain about that high tempeture. here i sweden it was 30 degree celcius. with snow that was more than50cm thick. that is alot in my part of the coutry. i had problems to get good grip with the traktor when i was driving feed to the cows. i was driving a traktor with no windshield. and with no extra warm pants or some thing like that. just gloves and a winterjacket. with no disease or frostbite. :P

The Teaching Company has a great course called Darwinian Revolution which lays out the history prior to the theory & follows it through to modern times. It's very interesting, I didn't know that evolution theories had been around before Darwin & his own grandfather (Erasmus Darwin) had a theory of his own.

Philster most Norwegians when polled say that they don't believe in God and do not identify as Christian.
However Norway does not have separation of Church and State yet and the Church is always putting out programmes and propaganda trying to justify it's parasitic existence as it steals our taxes.
Our King and some of our politicians are Christian but the general public consists mostly of non-believers and religion does not get in the way of Science much here.

@Valmarith Many Norwegians I speak to say they believe in "something" And its probably geographical as to where the beliefs lie. eg . The southern part of Norway is very christian influenced. Whereas not so much in the north. Although some of the Stave churches there are beautiful I think the personal beliefs might not be so relative but there is quite a strong influence from religion.I work in Norway a lot by the way.

Most Norwegians believe in 'something spiritual' such as spirits, ghosts, or some unseen force, but that does not translate into Christianity nor support for the Church. Only 29% of Norwegians believe in a Church or Deity, most of us would qualify as spiritual but not religious.
That is all kind of beside the point of embracing science by the way, being religious or spiritual does not translate into rejecting science. In my experience most Norwegians have no problem embracing science.

"Darwin Day" unlike Lincoln's birthday, is hardly even mentioned in the media in this country, unlike for example Britain, which honors science and puts the face of one of their favorite sons on their currency. I like to point out the lack of recognition for Darwin in the USA to my Biology students. I opine that it's probably because Darwin wasn't American so maybe that is why nothing happens here, regarding Darwin or his work. Seems the only people in the USA who celebrate Darwin are mostly people in Science or folks who have figured out the truth about life and the reason for it's diversity. Two new 'Origin of Species' hardcover books are in our library because of me, in a public high school no less.

Well, I would imagine, at first, there would have only been organisms that thrive off the environment. Since I don't think a parasite can thrive without something to thrive off of. Also, there cannot be stability in an environment where all participants are carnivorous considering that a successful species would cause genocide, reducing the diversity of life.
Thus, "Prey" came first in my best hypothesis.

If you cannot see comparisons in these fossils vs. extinct and living creatures or even comparing living creatures today, then you are the type of moron that needs to be at a Darwin Day. Don't your beliefs come from what you have read or been taught? Have you seen & tested any of your spiel for yourself? Have you seen IDA? Were you there when the DNA tests were done? One thing you are good at, proof of your lack of intelligence, calling people fools & morons. Why? The lack of a more intelligent vocabulary? Aren't people that don't allow others to have their own theories or beliefs control freaks? You, it sure seems to me via evidence you have displayed here, fit the definition.

@ElShadaiLives I don't recall calling you a foll, but if the shoe fits... You are correct, I did not test for myself many things I believe to be true because I do have confidence in the scientific method. If you only believe in what you have personally observed ot tested, then I suppose it is you that has fewer beliefs than anyone one I know. Do you not take medicine unless you have done all the tests to verify a Dr's claim that it works?

No sir, I do not take medicine, nor do I go to Drs. (unless I breake a bone I can't set myself. I am in the process of growing my own food. I want nutrition, not depletion. I read labels. Mother owned a health food store; wouldn't have anything in it that was harmful. Like spirulina plankton that causes kidney stones. No you haven't called me a 'full'. But, look at your other posts. Is it necessary to put ppl down? How much would you have learned in High Sch if your teach was puttin you down?

Because the life on the other planets have died and are in a state of dormancy. As will earth when we all die off. Then another planet will come back into their life again. etc. Get the facts at your local dirt mound. Or climb a mountain and wait for a lightning bolt. The dirt in the universe is from the death of life before us. Plants and animal. Humans are just trying to make a bigger planet with their bodies. They think the biggest planet wins. Wrong.

@fasjd... My message supported your comment. I did not call you a creationist or religious. But since you don't accept evolution or creation, please share your idea and don't forget the evidence to back it up. Evolution is a lot more than "some animals evolved and others didn't" All of modern biology is based on evolution and many new branches of study hinge on evolution being true. If it were not true, how can you explain all the science that supports it and is supported by it?

so, unless they have EVERY fossil, the theory can't be correct? The fossils you are requiring are millions of years old and since the earth changes, so would the areas we would have to look for them, under oceans, mountains and so forth. When a "missing link" is found, it creates two new gaps for you, you will never be satisfied. Gravity is a theory, the heliocentric solar system is a theory and atomic theory... do you have a problem with them?

In fact, many of the comments on the plausibility of biased peer-review are citing examples in social sciences. Evolution Theory is based on scientific, empirical fact. It is measurable and includes no conjecture. Social sciences are notoriously 'artsy', due to the subjective nature of human experience.

No one can find the exact moment of the branch or truncation of man and apes. So the same amount of proof would be liable to say that they never were sexually connected at all. IT is a matter of accepting that parallel life forms under viruses cross breeding them, when they were so young in age, that they were vulnerable to sharing genetic information being two alien life forms in the same environment where viruses retro bred them back and forth. Instead of a tree, it is a cluster of vines.

If the reviews keep pushing back the apparant branching point of ape and man, it becomes more probable that they never were physically branched as a common species ever. Because so far back in time, life forms were so vulnerable
that cross breeding by viruses can act the same as sexual breeding. Thus two very old alien life forms can be so long in the same environment under universal causes, and end up being so similar, while one never depended on the other for a beginning. Parallel Worlds.
