As far as this guide go, I did try it but I didn't like the way it told me everything to do without giving me freedom while doing it.

Since you're level 20ish, for now, your gear is okay. Who cares if you're wearing cloth, lol. At your level as a hunter I didn't give a damn about gear. I just played with skill and didn't worry about the gear until the mid 30ish and up. Even at level 46 as my blood elf hunter, I still had about 5 pieces of gear that were leather from STV.
