what people who watch porn with their spouse or person they're dating don't realize is that it changes the way they relate to each other. if porn was a good thing for married couples, you would see no changes in the divorce rate. but divorce lawyers will say one of the reasons why the divorce rate is so high in america is because of pornography addiction.

Definitely leads disturbed ones to abuse depending on back round. It matters not about the accessibility to porn, porn can be thought up in your head. It is about the strength it possesses over the person. It doesn't have to be drawn out. It is a thought. Pornography pretty much is the act itself (sex). I think it's unfair for you to say if there is anything wrong with people when their actions have no consequences for you. If myself and my girlfriend watch porn, in no way whatsoever does that hurt you or even effect you. Yes, there are pressures in this society that objectify women and put pressure on women to "nip-tuck, suck-fuck". They don't all come from porn and you can't say, as you have, that ALL porn is bad. Lust is desire for sex and a desire to have sex with people you're attracted to. Lust is sexual attraction. Without lust people wouldn't be having sex. Where is the evidence that porn definitely leads ANYONE to abuse? What evidence there is to suggest porn may make disturbed people abuse is very sketchy and, I think, mostly anecdotal.

Lots of husbands and boyfriends watch porn. Lots of men watch porn WITH the women they are in relationships with. You shouldn't say something as outrageous as "Porn leads to sexual abuse!" or "Porn makes killers!" without some evidence to back it up. There isn't any real evidence to back it up, just the word of a bunch of outraged femi-nazis and religious fundies. Porn is consenting adults having sex for the viewing pleasure of other consenting adults (and horny teens).

If both healthy men and severely disturbed men watch porn (they do) how do you know it's porn that leads the disturbed ones to abuse? There were abusers long, long before there was easily accessible porn. Your dad was not a pervert becuase he watched porn, very likely. Probably the events of his life, his own history and psychological make-up made it possible for him to abuse. I read testimony from a woman whose husband had raped her daughter--she blamed sex education.

She became a crusader against sex-ed in public high schools and middle schools. Maybe people, maybe especially female victims, tend to look for a more easy scape-goat than pschology, so they attack something like porn or sex-ed or pre-marital sex or whatever. It's very, very unlikely, according to evidence, that porn alone leads men to become monsters. It's ridiculous to say so.

Yep, I don't feel bad calling someone an idiot who obviously holds some really sexist notions about men. I never said I hated anyone, that's you're own projection. There is lots of porn that shows women having rough sex or being really submissive, but there's also nice, friendly homemade porn and lesbian porn and even porn made to be romantic. Most men watch porn or have watched porn, and, guess what, we're not all rapists or mysogynists. Plenty of girls like porn too.
