I know this response is a little late but chiropractic care can absolutely help. In the case of segmental motion restrictions manipulation can relieve the fixation. Of course a good chiropractor will evaluate for segmental instability as well prescribing specific exercise that can target that instability. A good doctor will find the root cause/causes; a restriction, instability, weak muscle, tight muscle, an ergonomic issue, or often a combination of all of these things. ACSCLA.com
chiropractic care don't work, believe me.... It depends on the situation, if you have an underlying connective tissue disorder, the weakness combined with manipulation can make it worse
If you have low back pain, mid-back pain, or whatever it may be, there is a really great read called "Healing Back Pain" by Dr. John Sarno. It conveys the most Responsible Content on the matter that I have ever come across and is NOT "about" anatomy in general. You can google his name - don't have to buy the book. I tried chiropracty, massage, epidurals, exercise, etc. P.S. I've had 2 discectomies in the past - didn't know better, and....yeah, it's a really worthwhile read.
