  • Saw them in Salmon Arm July 2011. 3/10 they sucked !

  • Streetheart made the cover of the Rolling Stone. Fucking eh!

  • LOL....what the heck do you do when its -50 with wind in Regina ...Practice!!!! Good thing Kenny always shows up now and then to play at home.

  • This guy's voice is awesome. Those screams are platinum, love it.

  • streetheart live this weekend bitches!!!!!! :)

  • I've always loved this song. One of my greatest regrets in living in the U.S. is that I miss out on a lot of the awesome Canadian rock on which I grew up (or tried to grow up, anyway)...........

  • where did you record this?

  • why isn't this for sale on itunes????????????

  • @Tropichode probably 'cos its Canadian! We have some fucking amazing classic rock, but no one's heard it but us!

  • Friggin' righteous tune!! Amazing how well this holds up over the years...timeless!

  • Spider is such an under rated bassist!!

  • I love this!!!! Brings back so many memories!!

  • Kenny = the Voice.

  • killer song !!!!!!!

  • ...trippy intro btw, thx

  • this song put streetheart on the map

  • I love classic rock music and, being Canadian, I needed to become more familiar with Canadian classic rock. Thanks to YouTube, I have discovered great songs, like this one, and Sweeney Todd's "Roxy Roller".

  • The best song in Rock n Roll history!

  • Rocking action!!

  • saga is better than this one hit wonder band.

  • where can i find show dates? i saw them in the early 80's in montreal many times...always great..yes, the sonic in your face bass from spider is the best...

  • OMG I just saw streetheart and frick did they rock, it was so awesome. And this song is so AWESOMEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!Rock on Streetheart, love ya guys, and yes the music of today sucks compared to this kinda stuff,,,,,,,,,,

  • Spider is still the best bassist ever

  • One of the best openings of a song in the history of rock'n'roll. Canadian rock is choice!!

  • Yup especially right after seeing them live then Beating Kenny in a game of Billiards !

  • who would give this song a neg rating?

  • @delwood21 Five moronic idiots ....

  • @muskokan59 Hey hey now..the song is no excuse for you to be bringing you family into this..

  • @tyme4mike I think you may have misunderstood. I was suggesting to "delwood21",that it was five moronic idiots that gave this song a neg rating. At least I think you misunderstood. Maybe I just don't get it.....

  • This song needs to be on a movie sountrack.

  • ya baby. read all about it.

  • One of the best songs EVERRRRRR!!!!

  • Streetheart -! The best Canadian rock act...ever!

    ACTION !!!!! ACTION!!!!

  • America may have invented rock, but Canada perfected it. Streetheart is one of the best, most under-rated talents ever.

  • @DaChieftain I totally agree. If these guys had been american(god forbid), they would have had the shit promoted out of them. Myself, I think Streetheart wrote some of the best songs ever. They definitely stand the test of time.

  • Everytime I hear this song...reminds me of what my Sister's boyfriend did to me @ the time....he placed a huge speaker by my head....cranked the stereo full bore...hit the power button..while I was asleep on the couch..and this tune was it....TOO FUNNY

  • I cannot recall how old I was when this came out..Im 42 now

  • probably about the 6th grade, however old that would be?

  • I think Streetheart "Meanwhile Back in Paris" which had the track Action was released in May of 78 which would make you 11 (and me 14). I know that "Best of Streetheart" released in 81 was in my 78 Z28 and CRANKED UP LOUD!

  • Ahhhhh.., but the

memories this brings. The Kid and I use to Cruise Around All-Day and Check out the Ladies !! He's 34 now and I often Wonder if he Remembers this??

  • maybe, no, MAYBE, BUT you cant beat the bass line, cripes play this one full head on, the bass kicks ass.

  • This song will always be better than Turn Me Loose

  • @DenEast I just heard this song for the first time the other night and couldn't get over how much it sounds like Turn Me Loose ... love them both!

  • @ChildOfThe1980s ... You realize Paul Dean from Loverboy was the guitarist in Streetheart along with drummer Matt Frenette ... thus the similarity ... but Kenny's scream kills Mike Reno .. his vocals on this one are insane .. WHAT A SCREAM !!! ... This song and Back in the Saddle from Aerosmith are 2 of my favorite vocal performances

  • @LifesonFan4Life No I didn't realize that. I was born in 1984 ... I'm still learning about music of generations past.

  • @DenEast no way. this song is good, but turn me loose is the best.

plus, the first time i ever heard that song, it was the bg to some guys homemade porno. it'll forever be an unrivaled classic, for a variety of reasons.

  • Anyone else think the form of this song is a lot like "Turn Me Loose"? (Similar synth intro, big scream in the middle, etc.) Not surprising since the guitar player and drummer quit this band and formed Loverboy. Both great tunes though!

  • Snow White is a pretty good tune as well

  • instant goosebumps yeah!!!

  • great song..very well put together taxirock..i live in the states but close to victoria...grew up on great canadian rock

  • One the best tunes everrrrrr,

  • Gotta love Spider's bass.

  • great band, not as good as coney hatch..still got both of there albums, times flies

  • How did Streetheart get their band name?

  • meanwhile back in ........Terrace,

Anyone that seen that show will know what i am talking about.

  • Lol. I used to have this album on 8-track...I got Kenny to autograph it when he visited the grocery store I used to work at in Saskatchewan.

  • Indianapolis-- Whitecourt is a GREAT Town! People only get out of a place what they put into it!! I suspect that you haven't put much into it. You sound like a spoiled little kid!!

  • true im a teen but the only thing being put into whitecourt is drugs which makes it a place i dont wanna live if u like it here thats your opinion im just saying mine

  • Gonna see these guys tomorrow nite- Free- PARTY IN THE PARK-- Whitecourt, Alberta The Town With It All!!!

  • whitecourt is a shitty town the only thing we have thats decent is party in the park

  • I went to Edmonton in Sept '79 to work on the oilrigs.Started working at Gainers Meat Packing, made pals with a few guys, stayed with them on E79th while working the rigs. When I first heard this cut from the album,my jaw dropped and 30 years later my jaw is still on the damn floor. What an amazing sound...brilliant from beginning to end. This is one of my all time favourites and I can't wait to see them live.I'm in Ohio now but I'll be damned if I'm going to die without seeing them.

  • Streethearts Playing Edmonton on the 19th

  • Cool. I had an interview for a job in Ft McMurray a couple of weeks ago but I had to postpone it. Maybe I'll combine the two if at all possible.

If you're going to the concert on the 19th,have a blast.

  • Saw these guys about 3 or 4 years ago at Casino Regina. I'm amazed Kenny could still hit those high notes!

  • saw smtreetheart in cowansvill quebec with max webster 5$ A TICKET GREAT SHOW ACTION A KILLER

  • For all you non believers. Stick em' in the ground 6'Down!!!

  • Same could be said for the us and england.

  • Canada had some pretty good music going in 1980. What happened?

  • Idle Eyes - Tokyo Rose

  • @camlpg Great Big Sea and The Arrogant Worms are still cutting albums. Sure they're not Rock & Roll, but they have pretty damn good music, plus Rush is still putting out new stuff.

As near as I can tell most of the AWESOME Canadian bands from the 70s and 80s are still active, I mean, Loverboy is still doing shows, same with Prism, Harlequin, Chilliwack. These people haven't gone anywhere, but maybe we have :(

  • Canada = awsome music !

  • Comes as no suprize that most of the good 70s bands came from western Canada. I do not agree however that these guys were under rated. They were.. and remain.... Excellent.

I find it interesting that all of the music they produced remains current...as in...it stands the test of time and refuses to be "dated" in any way. Very, very un-seventies!

Glad to hear they are pleasing audiences everywhere at present.

  • anyone who has the chance to see streetheart in concert is lucky indeed. A very under rated canadian group with numerous classic rock songs to their name. putting canada on the map

  • loverboy is guys from streetheart

  • They were based out of Regina but went to Winnipeg to do recording and such.

This particular song sounds like a total 70s classic rock anthem, and Streetheart did several of them, Under My Thumb, Coming True, Tin Soldier, Here Comes the Night, Dragging Me Down and others.

  • I saw them when they opened in Sarnia, Ontario, at the Sarnia Arena for Max Webster. It was either late 1978 or first half of 1979. It was a great concert!

  • spider the bass player does not drive cabs, he plays with loverboy...

  • Did anybody see these guys at the Knob Hill in Scarborough ont?

  • Regina, yes. Late 70's... Good stuff... takes me back.

  • pretty good. it took along time to get started though!

  • I've sucked up a lotta beer, watching these guys play live, over the years.....

  • They are from Winnipeg Manitoba - rock on !! Seen them many times in the 80's at the Norlander Hotel - lol. Awesome band. Missed seeing them in my present hometown last year :(

  • pretty sure they are from Regina, Saskatchewan.

  • my bad, Just seemed like they were from Winnipeg cuz they were always there.

  • this is gay

  • Totally underrated band. Tons of great tunes

  • I've heard that this band originated from "SUN" in Saskatoon, Sask. Anyone know for sure. Very little is written about our great Canadian bands.

  • Thee band come outa Winnipeg. Spider (the bass player) drives cab there to this day

  • actually they're from regina...and spider doesn't drive a cab, he is in loverboy now

  • Kudos to Gene Simmons who said the best music talent in the world came from Canada in the 70s and 80s.

He said it's a shame these Canadian Groups never hit it big and he blames the Record companies for that!

  • This song breaks the mold of standard rock. How many song have the chorus at the end and no where else... Pretty slick!

  • This song is great in so many ways. It rocks hard, it has a good tune, it's intense, it has very clever lyrics (not sure what confuses you, Acquisito) about some high class people heading west from Paris, and the frenzied media will be there to greet them.

  • AWESOME TOO COOL THE BEST

    from a canadian ofcourse!

  • For me this is the best song ever, listen to it almost every day.

  • This song is sooo cool..

Streeheart you are definetly true Canadian Rockers

    Cheers!

  • i absolutely love this song, but i just read the lyrics and they make no sense!! anyone know the story behind them??

  • who cares?!

some songs are meant for lyrics, some songs got good beat. This is a good beat.

  • Other classic from Streetheart: "One More Time" and sure "Trouble"!

  • I have this on one of my mix CDs I play between classes at school, and the kids have never heard it before, but there is always interest in it.

Oh, and I teach in Houston, TX.

  • its a good song but it missing something to make it wonderful

  • doesn't really suck to be from canada, does it?

  • we used to get to see streetheart for free at the norlander in winnipeg in the 1970s.

  • So many great bands graced the stage at the Norlander. Good call!

  • Makes me want to kick ass hahaha

  • just saw streetheart last night open up for april wine and bachman/cummimngs - omg, speechless, yeah, kenny still has it, and im pissed i didnt bring something to record it to post

  • Kenny is a very awsome man he does truly still have it in him OH YEAH ONE MORE TIME KENNY

  • @rodgercolmar MORE DATES JUST ANNOUNCED SUMMER 2010

  • @rodgercolmar sorry, hit the vote down button by accident, did not mean to, so please don't take it personal

  • Omg, so Awesome, just saw them this summer in Regina and do I regret not recording it. The show was so Awesome that I don't even have words for it. It was an outdoor event with so many people, it was them and the Headpins and Kick Axe, they could have filled a stadium. They sound better than ever, Thank You Streetheart for the Awesome tunesss!!!,,,,,,Keep rocking,,,,,

  • Does Streetheart or Kenny Shields still tour? I'd love to see them again, I imagine meeting Kenny Shields is a cool person to run into, thanks for the response. H.P.H. ( Health, Prosperity and Happiness )

  • I happened to meet Kenny Sheilds when they came to town. My buddy's band backed them up when they were here. Beyond amazing if you ask me

  • Paul Dean (guitar player) left this band and formed Loverboy. Same guitar sound. A mistake in my opinion. Great song.

  • So did Matt Frenette (drumer)

  • I sure remember these guys. I grew up Northern NY State and CHOM FM 97.7 was playing this 1978-79. Remember Jerry Ducette, Run buddy Run. Nash the Slash and FM Phasors on stun. so much great music in a great era. thanks for the upload
