Yeah there are a lot of problems disregarding the tempo skips. This version does not get the heart and soul of the song. For one it should be calmer, the song is a passive aggressive resistance while at the same time showing the love of freedom. And the song is no good without the western roots in it.

Good punk style, however ill-suited the original song may be to the transition. Personal opinion here would be to add an electric violin solo, but that might be cutting a little close to Yellowcard for you, depending on your musical tastes.

I've covered this song live as well, but just me singing and playing acoustic. I just feel the song's power more that way than with an infusion of drums, punk-style singing and distorted electric guitar. However, everything is personal preference :)
