I remember being forced to watch this silly TV show back when I was 8-years-old at a babysitter's house I had to go to everyday after school. It happened to come on at the same time my favorite TV show did and I always had to miss it because an older girl was allowed to watch this instead since she lived there and I was only a guest.
This reminds me of just how awful American television became in the 1980s--especially sitcoms that revolved around children and adolescents. Absolutely stinkeroo.
@jannyrcobs charles in charge did revolve around kids and adults but a lot diff from shows today. anybody could watch charles in charge without being offended,if charles in charge was done in 2012 it prob would involve a lot of sexual situations
i find it quite amazing that with the concept of this show, it actually saw air time???but it was the fabulous 80's... lol...think about this same scenerio, but in 2011...a male college student being hired to take care of 1...a super cute & boy crazy teenage girl. 2...a shy & reserved teenage girl who desperately wants attention & acceptence...& 3...a pestering little brother who would disappear or keep quiet if the price was right...can anyone say..."carnal knowledge of a juvenile?"
LOL!! I can't believe I actually know all the words to this intro.
Just about ALL of the theme songs from back in the day were really good. All sung by good singers... nowadays, the crap on tv, sounds like something just thrown together. I can't believe peeps are actually into that SMH..LOL!
Nice work. Click on my channel to see my 80's nostalgic collections; "80's TV Show Openings", "80's Saturday Morning Cartoons", "80's WWF Wrestling" and a "John Hughes Tribute"
@jayce79 We have entered another dimension-The Twilight Zone. Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo. Sometimes I have to shake myself when I see these modern programs. Did I wake up on another planet?
80s sitcoms were the best. who wouldn't want charles to be in charge?

@headley62 To tell you the truth- I never think about that. It was over 20 years ago and those people moved out of that house 3 years later.

Some big time TV names at the time were on this show: Scott Baio, Willie Aames, and James Callahan.
telxon04 5 months ago
Notice that Scott Baio always plays a guy named Charles. Chachi's real name was that. And, then on this show.
