They should offer free DNA tests to all the public in Espana to see the % of connection of the people of Spain (now that it has recently been discovered that Jews carry a distinct genome only found amongst themselves and traceable back to more than 3000 years!). After testing, I am pretty certain that there will be many more people interested in finding true meaning in their lives - both in finding their extended family - the Jewish people and nation, AND G-D!
It depends on ones level of education and understanding. A descendant of anusim doesn't switch back to Judaism simply because his ancestors were forced to abandon it for Christianity rather because he comes to realize that it is the truth and wants to live the truth...
Thanks for a polite and kind response. This is not always the case when one makes a comment in youtube. I really appreciate that. I respect your opinion although I do not agree with it. I really do not want to get into an argument so my last response with all the respect you deserve is that the Peace of God may be with you. Goodbye now.
That is the point: if a person loves the truth, then he clings to it and abandons what is not any longer true. But those who are unwilling to realize that the only reason for their current situation is the violence and hatred of the past for Jews, those people will be counted as among those they choose to align themselves with, and not as Jews.
@ArielS770 ur right and if ur a jewish ur always on the true side wut ever and whenever my family is anusim also and we are going back to judaism because thats the truth we are not ugly duckling anymore if u know that story..
It's a matter of personal choice. I returned to the Jewish faith and have never felt it was a mistake. I don't feel I turned my back on the Christian faith because it was not meant to be.
@skycastles79 ...isn't x-tianity a pagan religion ? you got trinity, easter, santa claus, haloween, virgin mary, etc, etc, etc, do x-tian need to obey the 10 commandments ?
@LIQUIDFLUIDR12X Christianity is not a pagan religion and among the first things taught to a Christian child are the 10 commandments. Indeed we do have to follow them. I do not wish to get into a religious argument. I have a lot of respect for Judaism and believe Christianity is the total fullfillment of Judaism. Nonetheless I believe in religious freedom and in the salvation of all those who while in this life had a good intention toward others, no matter what religion they believe in.
@LIQUIDFLUIDR12X How do you know he died for "skycastles79" sins? May be he was punished for his arrogance cursing the fruit tree for not giving him fruits out of season or calling Cananite Woman dog mocking his fellow scholars calling them all kinds of nasty names you can see in NT and other sins amply documented in your own "holy books" ?
@ArielS770 ...by your observation you don't believe that Jesus ( Y'shua ) is or was the Messiah, did you read the New Testament ? how can one tell who's the Messiah or not ?
Freemasons do not have their own symbols, they just took all the symbols from the world's religions. And Jews are not freemasons. They are a club or a fraternity.
A Jew is a Jew if his mother is Jewish. That is according to the Torah. And of course makes perfect sense. In a more clear and explainable way a Jew is a Jew if the household where it grew up is a Jewish household and that most likely is instructed by the Mother of the house since is the one that spends the whole time with the children. If a Jew is born in a non Jewish environment he needs to do Tshuva. Anusim=non religious Jew. Remember No Jewish mother no Jewish house environment
I hope many Jews are restored - even though I follow "Jesus", I still give Glory to the father and offer him my prayers. Forced conversion to a christian faith is totally against it's own word. Oh, how much evil has been done in Gods name.
Just Don't convert!!! Unless what CHONITIN is your case, if you are jewish, why do you seek convertion? organize among yourselves, Start your Houses of study and worship, learn of your ancient traditions, the spanish portuguese tradition, and show every body you are jewish not by yelling it, but by living!!! HaShem will take care of the rest!
If a family was cut of from the rest of the Jewish people for 500 years or so they may have an internal tradition that they are Jewish descendants of forced converts to Christianity they may have even kept some of the Torah commandments and customs in secret , but if they want to be accepted with no doubts by the wider Jewish community as Jews they should either prove their Jewish linage which is not always posible , or they should convert to remove doubt.
If they follow your sugestion to simply organize among themselves etc. It is may be a good start, but may not be a enough to be accepted by the rest of the Jews as Jewish, to be welcome to marry other Jews etc.
I will not call this process a conversion process but a Tshuvah process. since they are returning to their roots. Halachically a conversions is need it if the person has no Jewish blood line, but if they are Jewish and who knows even more connected to the original root of Abraham than the Ashkenazim I dont think is right to call this process a conversion process but a bal Tshuvah process since they are returning to the Torah and Judaism. Halachically a Jew is anyone that follows the Torah.
they are jewish, they are. 100% jewish, but there is no wrong in conversion- if the reason behind it is to strengthen those roots that were severed. just think about a child who is put away for adoption, and discovers they are spanish. one thing is to identify themselves as spanish, but another is to learn spanish, to go to spain etc. connectin gto the roots is a mitzvah
Wow, it has been forever since i checked inbox. Well i see that you are interested in spirituality beyond religious organization, that is why think you will understand hwy they dont have to convert. If you ask Kabalist sefardis they will explain that in order to do TIKUN (restauration) for their ancestors they must return without conversion. keeping their parents names not Ben Abraham, as a convert would be called. that way they Rectify the world. Shalom
Even if all of their ancestors are Jews, which may be the case of at least some of them, they of to convert to remove any doubt-this is how the Jewish people keep the tradition passing from one generation to the other. BTW, I deeply love them.
My family also suffered and was denied its portion the olam habah because of the inquisition. We still feel the persecution to this day. Even now my family feels ashamed about being Jewish. How very sad.
yeah sure, wanna be's to what? the most hated, and persecuted people in the world, if they are all about going to Israel, maybe you are right, but if you do not know the intention of the heart, why do you replace HaShem? Ignorance is a very good excuse.
Chronitin, why are you so full of hate towards Anusim? I was accepted and welcomed by my local Jewish community. No Jew has every called me a goy. And nobody said I had to make aliyah!

Notice that almost every one of these Jew wabba-be's come up with the same story, over and over: My grandma used to light candles on Friday evening but never told us why." "my father told me before he died: We are Jews but do not tell anyone." -- This so stupid. Out of the blue it turn out that their ancestors spoke Hebrew, were "experts" of Jewish law and customs, etc. Suddenly the Israeli anthem awakes their "Jewishness". I say this is crap.
These naive gentiles don't know that the Zionists only want them as bait by make them believe that they are "descendants" of marranos in order to convert them to Judaism and finally send them to the Palestinian lands as occupiers. Stupid goyim, open your eyes and see that they are only using you. How stupid can some be?
First of all, it's the Anusim who want to return to the nation of Israel. Nobody is trying to convert them. And if some Anusim want to make aliyah, the State of Israel isn't going to ship them off to arab lands like they were cattle!
I was born in Russia. I am related to the Rebbes of Chernobyl, Karlin, Talnah , Rachmistrivka etc. on my fathers side and some faous German Rabbinic family on my mothers side , yet only thing we had was memories and some customs not much different from Moranos...
I have Sefardi ties through my father who did a lot of "Jewish"things but it took an uncle to tell me off to the side my connections. I have met dozens of others who when I tell them my story come forward and admit the same. There are millions of us out there. You anti-semites never know who we are, so just start hating everyone!
What a bunch of nonsense. There was never an official policy of the Catholic Church to convert Jews or Muslims by force. The makers of this video are either ignorant of the history of the Christian-Jewish relations throughout history or are deliberatly lying. All this is sheer propaganda.
You must either a racist or a very unlearned person. Have you ever heard of the apologies of John XXIII and John Paul II for precise those crimes??!!! Please go and take a history class and then come back here.
Please Google words like inquisition, moranos, anusim and do your own research about this subject (there was recently very nice historical movie on PBS about this see if you can find it.
you are so full of miedra , you revisionist. Check out the Inquisition museum in Lima. Also remember that Franco himself admited to it and tried to help Jews when he could escape the Nazis. Why did the King of Spain appologize, and Papa Juan Pablo Segundo try to make up for the way Catholics treated Jews for centuries. How about the popes who tried to erradicate Jews even more than they did Muslims? Pinche buey
Tom'as de Torquemada,The First Grand Inquistor of Spain was a fanatical zealous mass murderer of my ancestors! He ordered the sadistic tourture and execution of many Jews in Spain who did not convert to Catholicism during the late 1400s.
I encourage all hispanics to get a ancestral DNA test to see if you have Jewish blood in your veins. Many crypto Jews married Native American women (Indians)in the moutains of Mexico during the 1600s-1700s. This means that many Mexicans may have Jewish blood. The Spanish robbed us of our heritage, now its time to take it back!
DNA test is an indication but it is not yet accepted as a definitive proof for such matters as far as Jewish law is concerned.
Your last name Chavez is one of the last names they used to identify themselves to each other (last names ending in ez es and also names like Castro Escobar Garcia and some others are common names of the anusim (moranos)
in practical terms what this means for you is the rabbis may make it easier for you to convert to Judaism since there is some evidence that you have at least some Jewish ancestry and thus are likely from the "zerah Yisrael" - seed of Israel. I have friends from similar backgrounds as yours.
For the last couple of years I have been studying Judaism. That is the only reason I have come across this information concerning Moranos. The crazy thing is I also discovered recently that my Mother is probably Jewish. She was adopted which complicates the matter- however, she does know her maiden name is Kozloff which is Russian-Jewish. I do not know if that is enough information or not to make anything official. Its just strange to learn this so late in life (Im 27).

in practical terms what this means for you is the rabbis may make it easier for you to convert to Judaism since there is some evidence that you have at least some Jewish ancestry and thus are likely from the "zerah Yisrael" - seed of Israel.
