  • those are prolly some big bumblebees

  • I can play it better than this on tuba, and I'm fourteen. >_>

  • @youarelove99 Playing ability =/= Age, bro.

  • @youarelove99 I would love to see you try. I don't even know what you call those super duper fast scales. Sounds almost like a trill.

  • @youarelove99 The fact that you had to leave a comment saying that on a youtube video leads me to think the exact opposite. A truly good musician doesn't have to make others appear to be worse, to make themselves appear good. Instead, they should help anyone they can and spread their love for music.

  • @youarelove99 wuteva this is rly fast

  • @youarelove99 you can post a video to show -.-

  • This was played by the FAT LIPS TUBAS

  • talk about bad quality

  • :OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

and to think i was just learning my average bomps :O

  • yea i would have left if they ever gave me this

  • holy ****!!! :O awesomeee!! :D

  • WOW

how can he hit the high note?

  • Congradulations...your good at blowing..lol

  • Cheek puffers? I didn't see anyone puff a cheek... What I did see, however, was an excellent display of musicianship from everyone in the ensemble

  • bet you could, pal

  • then it must be super easy for you to play now, why don't you post a video of carnival of venice so i can check your mad skills out?

  • Haha. Made me laugh out loud

  • hahaa, i really dont understand why you get so many thumbs down.

  • That means you're cool.

  • Well let me call you a musical jesus! What do you want a fucking cookie? here you go!

  • omg.. i pretend to this like everyday in jazz band and regular band at my high school. haha there always like.. Taylor.. Baritones can't do that. and this.. is.. AMAZING! thanks for the vid guys :)

  • my kid's going for tuba and LOVED this version of "Flight of the Bumblebee"

    Thanks for posting it!

  • Wow. This is so amazing.

  • i dont see whats the problem?

  • predigious!!!predigious!!!!

  • bom....muito bom!@!!!

  • you're an ass

  • you're probably god? )))

  • What kind of come-back is that? hahaha!

  • we are about the music? or something else?

  • ROFL:L:L:L

  • incredible!!!!!!!

i wish i could play this on my tuba!!!

  • just a simple and plain WOW!

  • I disagree. Just the other day, I was assaulted by three ninjas... If I hadn't had my euphonium to ward them off, they would likely have succeeded in their plan to tickle me to death!

  • wow...

  • the euphonium is a wonderful instrument, even though i dont play it, it has many practical uses in quintets and ensembles. go get some culture

  • they played it worng

  • I think I just shit myself lol

    very nice

  • i play baritone and i would kill to be able to do this

  • i play bariton too, but i cant play this.

    i play a front-bell bariton tho

  • i wnna do that on my tuba

  • HOLY SHIT im a baritone player too and WOW just fuckign amazing :D

  • dude i play the baritone

and i got 2nd chair but thats

amazing i can only tounge slowly that fast

  • If you think this is hard, the watch Carnival Of Venus. SOOOOO CRAZY!!!

  • Venus=Venice?

  • No everyone thinks that.

Alen Vizzuti did his own arrangement 10 times better and its call Carnival of Venus.

  • Carnival of Venus is by Adam Vizzuti(sp?) It's his personal version created to basically show off, he finds Carnival of Venice too easy, he plays some of the Variations with his horn upside down.

  • i will never be able to tung that fast.you guys are great.

  • awesome.u'r amazing! could u send me the sheets? pleeeease???

  • this is so beast u guys r amazing

  • Really impress me and make a running, synchronized harmony between the euphoniums. ;) I will find a way to give you guys a 10 if you manage that.

    Great job.

  • Tuba takes so much air. Jeez that must have taken years of practice. I am not nearly that good on tuba.

  • blury

  • you should check out "Canadian Brass Flight of the bumblebee", it's perfect, just type that in and you'll find it.

  • My teacher played this for us in class on his tuba. I thought he was going to pass out. lol.

  • whoa!! this is intense!

  • dang....on a frikin tuba

  • there not playing as fast as supposed to 2 tubas and theres a euphonium in there somewhere. i play tuba lol its hard to do that in the tempo

  • there are two euphos doing most of the running notes and its much easier to run on a eupho.

  • lol not really I play eupho. and it's so freakin' hard to do that, I can't even play CLOSE to that xD And I've been trying for 2 years!! D:

  • short valves make for nice running notes :-)

  • plus the tuba is 3/4ths size i have a full size and its harder to play than a 3/4ths. takes a lot more notes and lower ones are harder to hit

  • I dont think that is a 3/4 size tuba. It just is wrapped more tightly then yours. I think that all full size tubas have a length of approximately 18 feet, but that 18 feet might be more coiled, sort of like a regular trumpet vs. a pocket trumpet.

  • Full size Tuba's are much easier to hit lower notes with than a 3/4ths. With a full size there is the 4th valve which makes going lower so much easier.

  • i think 3/4ths are easier hitting lower notes. and not always. i have a full size olds with 3 valves. its also easier lefty but i play it righty

  • very nice, it makes me come.

  • WOW!! THATS AWESOME!!

  • X______X OMG. I wish I could play like that. xDD

  • wow..

  • HOLY CRAP!

  • dgdgdgdgdgdgdgdgdgdg - double stakato =) i can do it on tuba B =DD 7th class =DD

  • so you can play 5 different octaves of Bb

  • that's nice...

    now learn how to spell.

  • could you teach me how to brag? seriously though most people can do that... so dont brag.

try do to 7 and then brag...

  • Every octave!? Pretty good does that mean you can play in ultra sound aswell. Haha

  • how can they play that fast

  • muscle memory, lots of practice drilling the scale, practically the entire song is chromatic so its not that hard really... Just takes time

  • c dure flight of the bumble au tuba pcq le tuba a aps de resistence a leuphonium aussis mes le tuba c plus mou tsé faque c plus dure...

  • buenisimo

  • I have been shamed :(

  • i want music!!!!!!

  • that is some nasty shi dudes

  • wow so sexy

  • the euphonium in final its very bad...

  • its not easy, i would like to c u play this

  • I don't play euphonium, but if he can't play the flight of the bumblebee, play another thing... the tuba play very well

  • The tuba puffed his cheeks alot tho sounded nice and yea didnt like the squill at the end never seen this music in my hand but i pretty sure its not suposed to be there if im wrong sry :P whats the note tho my highest note is the super high D on Trombone (9th Grade)

  • thats not too impressive i was hitting g's with good tone last year. im in 10th grade and I am pumping out double Bbs. I am now in 10th grade.

  • are you talking about 9th partial D? cause i'm in eighth grade and can pick off that note fairly easily

  • Lucky you. I can get to the A or maybe B above middle C on the trombone (bass clef). On the euphonium (I play treble clef), I know I can get to two A's above middle C, but there's a note above that I can play...except it has terrible tone and I have no clue what it actually IS. Transposing for bass clef euphonium, I play the G above middle C.

  • because the only thing that matters about music is how high you can play *insert eye roll*

  • Does it really matter what your highest notes are? Say you get a high note but if you don't have good tone then what would be the point?

  • Does it really matter what your highest notes are? Say you get a high note but if you don't have good tone then what would be the point?

  • I hope you mean an octave above the one on top of the first ledger line.

  • man that rules

  • One of the euphonium players had flat fingers

  • David Childs has flat fingers when he plays this.

  • ...This is the piece the Carol Jantsch played at a summer camp audition which led to an audition with the Philadelphia Orchestra! And she got the seat too!

  • sounds like flight of the elephants

  • ROFL

    true

    dont say it doesnt...it does

  • ur mom sound like flight of the elephants.

  • does tht tuba have a valve on its side? cuz i only saw three

  • Well, that would depend if you are really referring to the tuba.. OR... one of the Baritones... Not all Tubas have the fourth compensating valve. The same goes for baritones/euphoniums.

  • vcx

  • i hate this song lol , had to play this a few years back ... it sucked

  • I played baritone, and it blew.

  • baritone =/= euphonium

  • That was AWESOME! A little blurry, but AWESOME!

  • its not really that hard to play flight of the bumblebee ur just sluring the notes and you need a lot of air to play... i've been for 4 years =) and euphniums are one of the best

  • You saying tongueing them would be easier?!! To play this properly is $£$%&%^£ hard! Well done if you can to any standard its a feat! What band/group are you in?

  • nice, I play tuba.

  • i started to play euphonium yesterday, im kind of getting the hang of all the different buzzes. im a tenor saxophonist so its a lot different for me.

  • OMFG

  • damn

  • sweet i play baritone been playing for three years

  • sweet i play baritone too i hope i can play amazingly good like those guys some day i have been playing for 3 years

  • me too, baritone is higher and ive played fer1 1/2 years

  • Oh f***. I want to play like these guys!!

    Awesome!!!!!!

  • WTF ??? AWSOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats awsome i play baritone my self my band teacher told me about this AWSOME

  • i play the baritone :D

  • Ya'll are a beast

  • <3 low brass

  • i play euphonium and i want to learn how to play this,

    so where is the music?

  • i play euphonium and i never wanna be as good as these guys it would scare me

  • i like this playing bravo

  • awesome..but Flight of the bumble all it is is-I CAN PLAY MY CHROMATIC SCALE

  • its not only chromatic its also about being able to triple or double tougue well

  • I didn't hear too much tonguing here. Lots of slurring, very little tonguing. If this was a bone quartet, that'd be another story...

  • beautiful

  • OMG, was that David Childs to the right ???

    Who filmed this ???!!

  • Thats freaing awsome i play tuba and u cant move ur fingers that fast....these guys must have been practicing this thing for years!

  • man...i play the tuba and my fingers cant move that fast.

  • this song isn't really as hard as you would think. if you study the chomatics a ton, then you already pretty much know the whole song if you find out the pattern and first note in each key change. for instance, on the pattern with the first note as a concert d, the fingerings are really easy and even a non-expert like myself can play the pattern pretty damn fast. the hard part is really just moving your fingers fast enough- like this incredible group. Amazing skill.

  • yeah.. no one studies chromatics this much.

  • ....when im not playing all i do is the fingerings for chromatic over and over again as fast as possible (unless im in a performance or talking to someone...oh and i play trumpet)

  • That was AWESOME! And I love the ending when that euponium player (I think it's an euphonium) does that little run of high notes! It sounded so awesome. I play euphonium and I don't think, no I KNOW I will NEVER be as good as you guys. Just the plain ol' truth. All I can say is WOW and that was an awesome 2 minutes of my life!!!

  • i play the euphonium...but their level is way above mine!

  • but you can't play that

  • i am working on my forth octave right now i am in 8th grade

  • want a cookie?

  • OMG. freaking wonderful! probably one of the bests!!!

  • Very nice stuff

  • I am always fasinated about how expressive tuba can be. They have FIVE OCTAVES of range! I play trumpet and I only have two and a half octaves.

    Awesome video, great ensemble!

  • (just for teasing..)

i play the trombone and have like 4½ octaves :P

  • aww i only have 4 lol (euphonium) from whatnote to what note??

  • pedal G (on a good day pedal F/E) to super f (above high Bb) (on a good day super Bb(ocatave above high Bb)) somewhere between 4 and 4½....

  • Tubas dont really need a 5 octave range unless your doing hard solos but even those only get as high as a high G (G above staff) You really only use at most 4 octaves for any professional tuba player. the added 5th would just sound like a squeak and it would just kill the song

  • Wish I could have heard that live. Awesome.

  • nice...but...some voices are...

  • i would adore a copy of the score to this... please??

  • If this wasn't a slight variation on David Taylor's arrangement, his is at least very similar and it's available for free. Go to www[dot]geocities[dot]com[fwd slash]dtmusicuk/?200624 (YouTube doesn't allow URL's to be posted). It's a fine arrangement our trombone quartet performed a few times and the price is right.

  • bravo

  • what the hell was that? lol.. NICE awsome. lol nice !

    again nice lol

    holy crap hahaha

  • its a mostly cromatic scalish song transposed to like a bajillion instruments reallly hard playing it up to tempo

  • Great work. I played Euphonium for 12 years and used to play that piece. You look like you have the same model as mine - Besson Sovereign 968? Thanks for bringing back the memories!

  • that's awesome.

  • Very good playing! Too bad the video isn't as good. Is that the David Taylor arrangement?

  • Feels like i'm without my glasses when i watch this video

  • seriously same here. i take off my glasses the quality doesnt get any worse when i put it on its still the same!

  • hahahahahaahahahhahahahaahahahahahah

  • Whoah I could never play that good

  • holy crap...
