  • fffunk me

  • Yeah LoveIsLove1100, MrNiteOwl is right...I was one who searched for music at your age and found a whole new world...when I was your age it was still the 80s and aside from the underground punk and what was to be dubbed "alternative" later,,,most music at that time truly sucked (sorta resembles things today i.e. beiber, etc. Anyway, search and share the music you find...your life will be richer..A whole new world opened up for me ...

  • Homer's assgroove brought me here

  • @vjacobo89 lol yes

  • Man...This song Back in the day was nice and very Funky ...Thanks for Posting it. WE used to dance to it at the Teen Center

  • Simpsons 9x12 final song!!!!!

  • Love this song and all the un restricted soul it has. Love it. But as woman, after really feeling what he is saying ...... it sounds like he all a taker and not a giver in any way at all. Too bad. Kind of a turn off.

  • And they haven't used this song on True Blood yet because... ?

  • EVER HEARD "NITE OWL" BY BOBBY LOVELESS---MAKES ME THINK I`M 16 AGAIN!

  • Yes that actually is a nice version. I am more partial to the version by Tony Allen and the Champs but both are good to the ears and feel good to hear.

  • long time fan of the original Blues Brothers. they got me serching for the originals....wow groovy, man

  • I am probably the only sixteen year old girl who loves and appreciates this amazing song.(:

  • Having an appreciation for many different types and styles of music starting at your age is to be admired. you will only find more music to enjoy. Share it with your friends they will probably like it to.

    MrNiteOwl 1 second ago

  • @LoveIsLove1100 really? be my girlfriend. lol

  • @LoveIsLove1100

I assure you that's not true.

  • @LoveIsLove1100 i'm sixteen! hahah

  • @LoveIsLove1100: You are probably a whole lot hipper than your friends, because this is real soul music, not that stuff they play today. 'Course, I'm biased because I lived through those times, but I think the soul music of the 1970s is far better than today's version. Enjoy!

  • @LoveIsLove1100 I am 16 too marry me

  • @LoveIsLove1100 No, You're Not.

  • @LoveIsLove1100 well I'm not a girl lol but I just turned 16 a few days ago and I've been jamming to this with my gramma since I was 12

  • @1967Healy

    LOL YES!!!! (^^)

  • @1967Healy niggias

  • Yes this was done in the early 70's - I have some great memories of this mans music , even as i happen to be a "white boy" ... I was incarcerated in a Youth Facilty for being a Juvenile Delinquent and every nite the Adult Guard of our Facilty would play a few record albums the old 33 size until we went to sleep and he would play this King Floyd Album every nite , I loved it because it comforted me on those tough times . Nobody ever complained and i think we all loved that record .

  • i just heard this on the movie something borrowed and had to find it.

  • YOU SIMPLY CANT LISTEN TO THIS WITHOUT A SMILE...........NOPE

  • i didnt know this was king floyd. dagggg. learn something new everyday. malaco really turned out some hard hitters didnt they. malaco is going to go down in history as Staxx and the others. the difference is they have turned out gospel and r&b.

  • You guys should check out The Blues Brothers cover its cool.

  • A #1 hit for King Floyd on the Rhythm & Blues charts. It was the 219th #1 R&B song of the Rock Era. It was the first #1 R&B song of 1971. It also hit #6 on the Top 40 charts.

  • 70's music are the best!!!!

  • @shantalmonique

  • @iluvjordanknight4eva hahaha...yep just saw homer on tv when he grooves with his ass, after that i was lookin for that song....real nice song

  • like this if you have have someone who grooves you

  • I'm dying right now (of laughter). I used to sing this ALL the time when I was a kid. My daddy said I got it from some commercial. I remember loving this song so much singing "Sookie sookie now" everyday. Lol I had to be like 5 years old. Memories :)

  • @INDIEcentExposure wow i wish i could spend time with my parents when i was young my father died after i was born and my mom worked like 12 hours a day so i really had no parents much

  • oooooh suki suki now........this jus makes you want to move.........sugar dumplings! :) <3

  • I paid 15 cents for this 45!!!! I love this song!

  • Amazing. simply Amazing.

  • There must be something in the water. Why don't singers sound like this anymore? Where are these men hiding? With the exception of Anthony Hamilton & a few others, dudes nowadays sound like they've been inhaling helium. I'm not saying everybody has to sound the same or ol skool. But, you just don't hear that RICH authentic tone anymore. Nowadays, you have to stop a bum on the street to get some real talent. Crazy!

  • This song just popped in my head from my teenage years. So I pop on YOUTUBE and here it is...wow. Back in the projects I am. SOCK IT TO ME MAMA!!!

  • This song just popped in my head from my teenage years. So I pop on YOUTUBE and here it is...wow. Back in the projects I am. SOCK IT TO ME MAMA!!!

  • Austin Powers :D

  • What company uses this in their commercial?

  • It was used in a 1990's Got Milk commercial

  • @MrNiteOwl I was thinking about that commercial the other day. I remember being a kid and was dying laughing at that commercial how the guy poured the water into the woman's empty milk glass. I miss those 1990's commercials.

  • @MrNiteOwl i'll be licking,,,i mean, looking that up!

  • @MrNiteOwl I thought it was coke or dr. pepper?

  • You can find the commercial here on youtube. It is listed as Got Milk Diner Commercial (1996)

  • @MrNiteOwl So there isn't one of this song for either of those products?

  • @MrNiteOwl thanks btw.

  • Pink Floyd should totally sue them HAHHAAH

  • @Vitoriovon More Like King Floyd sue those White theifs,of many were in these times of Black Music.

    Bunch of Pat Boone's.

  • beautiful song. im 14 and this is better then the shit these days

  • I wonder which came first Rick Danko's move me or this !? One was ripped from the other for sure. Both great songs for the genre in which they were intended though.

  • Groove Me came first. It was released in 1970. Move Me has a record date of 10/25/1972. That is two years later. It is really slowed down but I can hear what mean.

  • Gotta love the cracking sound of LPs.

  • takes me right back to the scratchy 45 sounds of my youth...thank you!

  • Great song and nice groove. I had forgotten about this one.

    What year is this from?

  • This is from 1970

  • The Blues Brothers did a good rendition of this tune only with more of a reggae swagger. I love the crackling of the record as this original tune plays.

  • I see one person has never been grooved before.

  • I miss the good life. Takes me back to the times when simpsons episodes were awesome.
