Never underestimate the idiocy of unions to screw things up. Like most unions, the UAW is a legalized (by Democrats) extortion ring whose sole purpose is to extract dollars from the owners of the businesses they are able to infiltrate. This infiltration is made easy by the government's assistance unit, aka the NLRB.
Japanese car companies building here is nice but we need to take back jobs from Chinese workers manufacturing for the largest car market - China's own
what if it is a ploy for the american car manufacturing industry to sabotage the more popular selling brands in america a renewed confidence will only come when manufacturers in america and workers take not only the money they serious but the job of manufacturing cars only people here come from a weekend of partying and drinking and come to work and f&&%up the job so get it together americans and don't look like a bunch of baphoons and idiots
Look at the fine example of UAW workers who build Jeeps and Chryslers NOT! How many UAW workers were caught smoking weed and getting drunk during the work day? Take a peek at the Jeep Wrangler forums and see how many owners complain of water leaking from the doors and roof of their wranglers.
You want quality?? Do not let a UAW worker assemble your new car!
I hope the auto workers remember these jobs are coming to America because of profit potential. No profit no jobs. If workers will agree to keep these factories profitable, it will only mean even more investment and more jobs. Please, please don't kill the golden goose again. Instead, let's all make our goose #1!
In an exclusive car like Maserati quality is part of the product as the wheels or the engine, so they must build them like the customers expect, or they won't have any. That's why i think brands will put an extra effort to ensure the correct product quality, and the workers will put an extra effort in stick to them.
"Go Further" is a strong message. It'll strike differently with everyone. Some might interpret it as reliability (lasts longer, goes farther), others might think of it as fuel economy and efficiency. Either way, it's very good in my opinion.
@juggernaut494 ...and yet it is those "lazy UAW workers", the bosses not so much, are the ones making and want to make the better products. They have more and better experience and training. If those foreign companies treat their much ballyhooed brands as 2nd hand, "who gives a [expletive]", when made in the USA, then that is exactly what will happen. It'll also come down to parts. If they are junk, you can't assemble a good car, Union or not. Most suppliers aren't Union.
Ford should restore the slogan, "Have you driven a Ford lately?" Still the Ford Trucks is still solid - "Built Ford Tough"

Any chances of the Dart being a hatchback like the Alfa Romeo Giulietta? The Dart sedan just doesn't do it for me. I love the Giulietta though.

I will blame the lazy corrupt UAW bosses and workers who will burn the European luxury brands if they are built in the US!
