I've sent away the girl I love I said, I've sent away the girl I love She well gone, people crying Said, my bold heart been dying Who is it who made that mistake?
And all you YOUNG ASS mofos NEVER will know that this tune was written by Mr Curtis Mayfield - and preformed (recorded) by his group "The Impressions" on the ABC-Paramount label circa '64!!! Learn REAL® music, tricks!!
This is very good song and I think that Immortal Technique did good work with his version. I know a lot of bad remixes but he did it good. Bob Marley 4ever ;-)
and dude bob marley and the wailers never released an album called 'birth of a legend'. it was probably by some random record label that released compilations of songs whose rights were sold unfairly by the wailers early producer lee 'scratch' perry. he 'made a mistake'! seriously...but thanks for posting this mean track
@Jlird808 No not really, Lee Scratch sold other songs without the Wailers permission, but that was the songs that he was working with, like Soul Rebel and such... These songs are earlier, from the Skaa era :) Simmer down and this one for example.
It's not Island tho, because this was before they started working with them, mine is from Epic, don't but I think it's several different labels that these songs were released in.
lol who the fuck is immortal technique? did he sample this track or something? btw this is a 'wailing wailers' or just a 'wailers' song not bob marley and the wailers ...hear peter tosh singing backup?
@rwiezel this is a younger Bob...his voice is a little higher and sultry than when he does his rasta music later...thats him singing the lead...especially notable from :35 - :55

I can't stand green lanterns stuff. I like technique but some of the beats on 3rd world are overproduced.
