i believe Konami,Treasure and most games at Sega were the reason why Sega Genesis was the only system that stood a chance against SNES and prduce one of the best games ever made on the genesis.this one being the best the genesis had to offer.

The robot running up for the first time was the coolest interception ever, and the way it died, oh GOD did it feel good! GTR attack song-caters the 2 great bosses ever in this game (the other one being the 3-robot "Transformers", I term it.) It's adreneline-pumping and beautiful! And in a 2D game!! Even million-played shit Maple Story can't beat this graphic!!

I remember going "What the hell?!" when that boss showed up, back when I played this game I didnt think I'd see anything that huge and fast show up on my humble Sega Megadrive. Despite the ridiculous difficulty I was never able to finish this game, but I was lucky enough to go far enough to know how awesome this game is. Man if only they let you change the difficulty in this game, more people would have played it.

The robot looked really silly running here, however this battle was far harder then the one in Shattered Soldier.

The only thing I liked about Shattered Soldier is how seemlessly it tied in the battles so it seemed everything wasn't just about the battle, rather the battle "just happened" to be occuring at the same time.

You're on a train. Suddenly a huge fucking robot is chasing you. But when he jumps in the air the train pulls away from him and he has to catch up. It was badass!!

Although this game is unforgiving, it is awesome. But the only thing I really cant stand is the srpite flickering when there is a lot of enemies and explosions on screen (most of my deaths on level 1 were due to this annoyance)

Well, I'm sure that the true reason is that the game designers were lazy, but if I try to think about it logically then I come up with two reasons:

1: The mountains, clouds, and sky are moving vertically.

2:The track is moving vertically.
