Pre-BC with good gear the max you'd usually get was about 7-10 k HP ( As in T3+naxx+Buffs+Enchants+...Alch­emy pots ) so a good slowing 2k frost shock was quite good.

Shamans suck, I can kill them with any class. All you need to do is either stun, fear, or whatever, then destroy their totems with one auto attack. They usually forget to put them down again.

@Dklonmy I agree,even though i never was around during the Classic Period,i have read in the Archives that the Alliance had ONLY Paladins and the Horde had ONLY Shamans. If i am correct,each alliance had their own "Hero" Class at the time...But then the Blood elfs came and the Draenei. Not only that but each class had its own "I win" Button. It was the stuns and bubble for the Paladins and Frost shock for the Shamans.
