Interesting, because the Republican party was in control when all of the loans were made by Fannie and Freddie and Barney Frank was in the minority party. The Republican controlled Congress & controlled the agenda of Congress and someone in the minority party had no control over it. The Republicans conveniently never got any proposed regulations off Rick Santorum's desk so the Democrats never even had a chance to fillibuster it. He did it because we were facing a recession and he wanted to stimulate the economy out of it by stimulating the housing sector. Gave the green light for the bankers/mortgage co.'s to make the risky loans, take the fees for doing it, and then resell the loans as mortgage-backed securities which now the taxpayers have picked up the bill. You will see there in his own words what he did to force Fannie and Freddie into these risky loans. There are many more reasons I can think of to fire Barney Frank, but I guess they wouldn't all fit in a 60 second ad. I suggest that people bring a cell phone that can record video to their polling station, especially if they have electronic voting equipment. Record anything suspicious and record voting so that any "malfunctions" will be recorded.
