  • It is the opposite of aids. In that it is the opposite side of the same coin. That is how I once heard a professor describe it. They 'stumbled upon' all these ABC drugs whils they were seeking a cure for aids - aren't we just special!

  • Ms is kind of like the opposite of aids. Aids is caused by a virus and it affects a group of T-cells, the suppressor T-cells. This shuts down the immune system. In MS I believe is also caused by a virus and it affects of group of T-cells, called the Killer T-cells. People with MS have a overactive immune system. How do Docs treat MS? By shutting down the immune system. Weird when you think about it.
