  • God lord...what memories songs like this one you get when you listen again after more 30 years when you where young.!

I just love to listen to this song everytime Ive heard on radio ,then later on I just have to get the Lp,s..and now 30 years later I still have the same original Lp,s stored in my Vinyl LP collection among the over 500 LP,s from those good old times when music was Music ..and not like that" crap" nowdays you hear on the radio.

  • my husband said he saw Dr Hook for 10 bucks front row center when he was younger...damn what happened to those days?

  • This is such an xcellent beat for just about anything ~smiles~ I love it it worked then and def works Now

    Thanks for posting Cheers~

  • I was born in 1983 and 92% of the songs I love and listen to daily are older than I am.

  • who is the singer of this song?

  • @buddahiscool You asked who is the lead singer? It is the great Dennis Locorriere, from New Jersey. He is living in the U.K. and still performs as a single. Still has his beautiful voice, and his likes to write songs and he has a new poem book just published. He has a son living in California who is in the acting business. I have always said he is the greatest white soul singer on the planet. There are over 100 songs by him on You-Tube. Some are really dreamy. Some are funny.

  • @gttdkt thanks he looks so awesome

  • i grew up in the 80's but my parents and uncle listened to dr. hook. Now i've been listening to them more than music thats out now. Their music is so great. Love songs beyond compare.

  • This is great to JACK OFF to! -I just did! -Good thing I have a Goo-Guard for my keyboard or I would have ruined this fine laptop. :-D

  • I remember being SO turned on by this song and the girl I was dancing with...I was 13 years old. Now I am sad to say but my children will have to put up with Lady gaga, whatever that is, avril lavegn, however you spell it,and the likes...I really feel bad for them.

  • @km80120 Well said

  • @AntiquatedPoet I guess I don't get whatever it is you are saying. However I DO like most all music, and that is wrong why? I tend NOT to listen to Lady Gaga just because I think she looks too weird so I assume her music is to. I am probably wrong but...I also like stuff like Fear Factory, Third Day and yes even SOME Justin Beiber. My feeling is simple, If you don't like it...Change the channel.

  • @km80120

My point was clear: it's detrimental to like ALL music. Why? Because a lot of it is crap these days. And if you like EVERYTHING it means you have no integrity, no discernment of discriminating the good from the bad. Few examples: Rap/Hip-Hop is not even music. Brittany/Christina/Gaga is poor quality pop. Mariachi is garbage. Heavy screaming metal (screamo) is just wicked noise. And on and on. I thought that was basically your point when you talked about what children hear.

  • @km80120 Return comments, pointless? Not all the time. Like I think I made some really good points here that you probably agree with. I will have a great life because I have integrity. Peace be with you too.

  • Being a young adult in the 60s was great. Wonderful music; free love; it was a beautiful time. The 15 years of music of Dr. Hook was under-appreciated. But now I realize how special their music really is. Thanks for posting.
