yes. i think that's kind of different because people have fun with it. i see the film as a timeless piece that might be forgotten for the abomination they are speaking of. i want my kids to know the original and their kids. i see it as a classic. a pioneer of a genre so few people are scared to touch. richard o' brian is genious!
You're worried that it will replace the original? What's probably going to happen is that people will forget the remake, especially if it's made-for-TV. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a classic, and no remake can replace that. They've been showing the original film since the seventies, and people have been going back to see it many times; it's not going to be replaced. MTV will be lucky if they're still in existence the next morning.
Oh....and you make an excellent Brad....but you do realise that every weekend when you dress up....you are remaking Rocky Horror yourself. Just thought I'd throw that in!

While I have to admit some of them are pretty cool, many of them (i.e. 'Poseidon' a remake from yet another 1970's FOX flick) are a bunch of bullcrap. They should work on the true intended sequel instead of making a lame remake.

I can't say how many times my buds and I saw midnight showings of RHPS at the Waverly in Greenwich Village, NYC, and at the Uniondale MiniCinema, LI, back when it came out. I still have the soundtrack on an LP. Great memories.
