I like Danny Elfman's theme more. It's more mysterious, dark and powerful than this. Zimmer can make some ganius music, like Gladiator or Sherlock Holmes soundtracks, but this one is not one of them, it sounds exactly like all the other action movie soundtracks. Generally meh.

I wholeheartedly disagree. You can feel the pain, the fickleness of the lifestyle Batman goes through in this theme. The original is memorable, and thats why everyone appreciates it much more. Truth is its okay at best, it just sounds like some indefeatable knight fighting crime. Thats not who Batman is. Batman is human, he has flaws, he struggles. The 89 theme made him sound triumphant but failed to capture the pain he feels.

@illevenlickthegravy I think what going to happen is Bane breaks Batman back in the beginning of the movie and then I think Bane is going to help Scarecrow get out of Arkham prision. I think Bane and Scarecrow are going to work together and take out Batman and Catwoman. But at the end of the movie I think Bane dies,Scarecrow goes back to prision in Arkham,Batman and Catwoman takes of the mask and revil their faces and then Batman and Catwoman falls in love and makes out I want Nolan to do that.
