been playing since servers opened now and i play as a HoX and i must say very powerfull can take multiple mobs at once with strong aoe and 2H wep skill took 5 equal lvl at once :)as for dungeons and instances what ive done so far is there more realistic as in if someone goes in when you in there your see them as well and can join up for bosses if you cant take them solo .PvP havent done any yet so couldent say

Herald of Xotli .. Better to use spells or melee attacks? Because they just wear silk armor..What class should i choose to lvl up fast and with no probs? In Wow i used to had a shaman.

The HoX is all melee. They only really get 1 hostile damage-dealing spell unless you count a couple feats late in the game.

y the ingame items suck,

the drinking cape is useless

the xp ring is just xp, u can always get more

the mammother+rhino r both way slower then the horde so they suck

and the extraa 8 invetory slots r useless.. just look at all the loot thats on the floor u will never b able to pick it all up u only take what u need..

I googled can you run it and i pass all of the recommended stats and i still only get a fps of 16 or so and its really fuckin laggy

Turn bloom off if you haven't. Will increase your FPS by 20-25. Also, be sure to defrag after installing AoC.

Bloom doesn't affect fatalities...or anything for that matter. You won't notice any visual difference with it off, just a huge performance boost.

Try them all out to a certain level, and which ever one oyu like the most just play it. You can alwas go back and play those other classes once your done.

Nice video. HoX can handle enemy mobs pretty well.  Doesn't he have a long range attack to pull mobs, though?

The HoX can use throwing weapons, which have a medium range.

The HoX can use demon form very early on in the game. You keep the same form throughout, except you get higher ranks as you progress (though they look the same). I used demon form a few times in this video.

Well, clicking is obviously involved since it's a PC game. Believe it or not, the game also involves killing. And mobs drop loot!

That's the Rest ability, which all classes get. It's only usable out of combat, and is a little less efficient at higher levels.

Ah I see. I'm trying to decide which class to play and the HoX looks really interesting but the whole cloth armor thing means I'd go down fast doing certain stuff, sort of leaning towards tempest b/c they can wear light armor I believe.

Very nice vid. Looks like a really fun class to play. Some questions though:

1. How does looting works? I mean if i hit an enemy first, do i get the loot? Or is it the one that does the most damage?

2. Can i bind a spell for i.e "Shift+a" or "shift+1" or something like u can do in WoW, or can u only bind them to 1 key press i.e "h" ?`

3. If u swim too far. Do u simply die from fatigue, or are there invisible walls? I saw invisible walls at starting point on another vid.

Very good questions. I'd REALLY like to know about the looting. That's where some games can make it difficult.

1. Whoever attacks first gets the loot. Mobs get marked with a tiny lock symbol next to their name if someone attacks them first. If loot goes untouched for about a minute or so, anybody can loot it.

2. Keybinding was unfinished as of the beta, but you can assign shift, control, or alt + numbers as far as I know.

3. There are invisible walls if you swim too far, from my understanding. Most zones are surrounded by mountains though, not water.

The enemies ranged from 12 to 16. In Demon form, you do more fire damage and you gain some health & resistance.

The ToS is outstanding at the moment. They have AoE roots and spells & they put out a lot of damage. I honestly hate fighting them, very good class...though I'm expecting it to get nerfed. The Necro I'm pretty impartial on...have seen some people do terrible with them, and some do very well.

It's very good. Has a relatively short cooldown & hits multiple times. It just appears to be fairly weak, because the other HoX combo is very, very powerful.

Yeah, the demon form last 20 seconds and has a 3 minute cooldown.

Solo play has worked out very well, much better than on my Guardian. Hellfire Breath makes killing multiple mobs very easy. PvP can be rough though against ranged classes, you typically die before you can reach them.

Hellfire breath does about as much damage as most combos (with the exception of a couple). I try to use it every time it's up...definitely the best ability that a HoX gets.
