If you really think about it, it doesn't matter who won. It's not as if Adam Lambert's career is going to suffer as a result. And people are entitled to vote for their choice (and apparently Kris Allen won by a lot of votes). No reason to keep arguing about who SHOULD have won.

I'm totally feeling what you say-- Christina is one of my favorite singers, possibly my all time favorite female singer, but I agree that she sometimes oversings. It works on some songs, but sometimes she should just let her beautiful voice through in a more understated way. I feel the same about Adam too. Just looking at Bryan's, and Roger's face, after Adam has sung, tells it all! They were radiant, if you look close. How in the world could America regret it when their albums are not even out yet? As far as Itunes goes, Kris charted better than Adam. I like both artists and have downloaded their AI performances and people just have to admit that they do not belong to the same genre.
Depends on how you look at it.....Adam's album is still in the top 100, while Kris' album is long gone. A lot of people are choosing to download all of Adam's performances as an album, where as Kris got more of the individual song downloads.
After both of their post Idol albums are released, then we'll get a better idea.
But you have to admit that Queen is more of Adam's kind of music than Kris'. He might be fantastic in this but give them another band that leans more on Kris' type of music and I think you would say otherwise.
So if Adam and Kris were made to sing with James Taylor you would still say that Adam will sound better? I guess some people still could not get over the fact the winner has long been declared and still refuses to think of Adam and Kris as two diverse artists. When their albums will be released in the future, it is not going to compete in the same genre. I actually applaud Kris for holding up his own there and not getting drowned because this is totally not his zone.
For the record, Adam did not win and this performance is not the sole basis in determining who should win American Idol. This is in Adam's zone but this performance was not judged by both the judges and the public. Yes, they are different, but the bottom line is this. You can easily find talent like Kris's anywhere. It's far from being rare. Adam, on the other hand, is a once in a generation talent.

Just a little something not related at all to the singing between Adam and Kris---what was nice about this performance is that you can see what good friends they are, and that they were GENUINELY having a great time up there. It was like the competition part was over, and they were just enjoying the greatest moments of their lives to date!! You can see the friendship between them, and that is just a wonderful thing to see.
Adam is gorgeous and sung this magnificently.........I wish Kris would have just stuck to the chorus. He was a hindrance and forced Adam to tone it down.

Adam certainly has a more compelling stage presence than Kris, but I don't think it's even fair to compare their musical styles. I personally adore them both, and can't wait for both of their albums!

adam is way way way better than kris. and seriously have you heard kris' version of no boundaries. i couldn't understand the first part. it was like he was eating his own words. and it was just.......normal. no high points. adam's version it was really good. very catchy. it wowed me the whole time i was watching it.

I find Adam's voice was much better than Kris's, simply because I found his voice much more original.
Don't get me wrong, I think Kris is an excellent singer, but I found his voice very unoriginal, something that many of today's artists have. I thought that Adam was much more original, and because of that deserved this more.

Just a little something not related at all to the singing between Adam and Kris---what was nice about this performance is that you can see what good friends they are, and that they were GENUINELY having a great time up there. It was like the competition part was over, and they were just enjoying the greatest moments of their lives to date!!
