@lordoYYH255 fate/stay night is more focused on the relationships between the characters, and hence keep a bit more of a happier atmosphere

fate/zero focuses entirely on the war, and hence is a bit 'darker'

@lordoYYH255 At the end of the fate/zero, Kiritsugu "implanted" Arthur's scabbard (the one he used to summon Saber) into Shirou, and Shirou unknowingly used it as a catalyst and managed to summon Arthur again

As for why Gilgamesh is in both wars.. they reveal it at the end of Fate/Zero, so if you're following it, I'm not gonna spoil it ;)

@lordoYYH255 In Fate/Stay the story revolves are shiro and his potential harem life. He and Archer are two of the most epic characters I have ever seeing, and I wish it Archer had somehow had taken part in the 4th holy grail war.

damn, thinking back, there were so many references in this opening. Like younger version of Kirei, relationship between Sakura and Rin, Shiro vs. Archer, and Saber as King. None of these were described with depth or clearness in the actual anime series, but they still put them all in the opening lol.

@atschiiLi actually that's king arthuria, which is explained in the series that king arthur (knights of the round table, heard of them?) was actually a woman the entire time, but merlin used an illusion spell to disguise her as a man so that people wouldn't think it was wierd that thier rightful king was technically a warrior queen. don't worry though, i actually thought she was joan of arc before watching it as well XD
