What's with the lone tank car? My suspicion is that it is to transport natural gas for heating/cooking for the people that live up in the remote towns & logging camps. Is this true?

I imade this video while i was snowhoeing just north of the tachie reserve. there really wasn't any sound. the mic in my camera is weak, but the train was very quiet.
right, ft st james wasn't the capital of B.C. it was the administrative headquarters of the Hudson's Bay's, New Caledonia district. can we say it was the first head office?

Cool video! I love logging trains. But your facts in the description are wrong - Fort St James was never the capital of BC.

Cool to see some footage of the seldom-noted Stuart-Takla log train. The lack of sound and shaky camerawork do reduce the enjoyment factor, though.

Finally a train that has nothing to do with fucking autorack trains or containers.
