  • how did you put the wheel on yr tractor. I made a small TC but in still need to put the wheels and I have no clue on to put them on?

  • Nice tractor....a tip for you.....suspend your waterer from the center post of your tractor and then there will be no need to remove when you are moving it!

  • how many chikens do you have in there and im getting 6 chikens so how big would it have to be???? thx

  • @HorseyHow2Channel 2 to 3 square feet per bird is the miniimum. I had 12 birds in there but they were let outside whenever I was around.I moved them into a much larger shed with a large fenced in area as they grew larger. The tractor now is for broody hens. This is more then enough room for six birds. Not in this video are nesting boxes that are now attached to the side.

  • nice work

  • nice. I just got all my rafters cut for mine. I tend to over engineer everything I do so it should be sturdy. Did a 24/12 pitch roof and going to use some left over metal roofing from the 6X6 Coop I built. I built my coop to look like a shed building, and used the cheapest windows I could find.

  • @TheTruthoverlies thats awesome. Im sure the chics will love it.

  • r u from maine

  • @Denmarkmaine1 yes north of lewiston south of augusta

  • good concept,about the best I've seen

  • where did you get those things you slide the wheels in?im just now getting around to building mine and i cant find those damn things anywhere...do you know what there called or what there used for???thanks again

  • the tubes are a piece of square stock steel tube I got at the local hardware store.I used conduit straps to secure them to the wood frame. the axels are round tube that I welded a threaded rod into the round stock slides in the square stock perfectly. This is all inexpensive home depot stuff. The most expensive thing on here is the hinges and latches and gatehooks, I spent about 35$ on the hardware. This can be built for 150$ or much less depending on what you have laying around.

  • mine is 12' x 6' not quite as tall as yours. I have about 300$in mine i bought some fence parts for the axle to slide in but its not strong enough and used 1/2 bolts for axles that are too weak also i have to rethink that but other than that im happy with it thaks for your info!!

  • great job love the accent im from Texas so you can imagine how i sound!lol 5 stars one of the best chicken tractor videos Ive seen!im about to make two 1 for eating birds and 1 for laying hens!!

  • thanks alot , it now has nesting boxes on the sides of it. I have 13 birds and they have more than enough room. I looked for a design I liked and just scaled it up. It is light enough so my wife can move it. Next spring Im getting meat birds as well. I now have two guineies in there as well. They will be thanksgiving .

  • when I was in the service one of my best friends was from the lone star state. Texas independence is an admirable quality.

  • well thank you you are from the east coast? what kind of birds do you have, and what do you suggest for laying and eating?

  • Awesome !! Thats a nice tractor.

You were smart to buy the big water jug.

I got the little one first... then the big one! Haha..........Peace!!!!!

  • Nice concept, though the audio really sucks! I guess you're trying to live up to your older brother's higher standards. You're such a SHEEPLE!

Keep trying little brother... SEE THE GOOD IN ALL AND THE BEAUTY WITHIN!

    lol
