@littlebeitaful yeah i read the 1st paragraph in the book store, and i was like "OMg I HAVE to get this book!!!" i can tell it woulda been a good one, and it turned out to be better than i had imagined!
This movie is 1/3 a depiction of the horror of the Holocaust, 2/3 a modern day journalist worrying about her unborn baby. I found myself not caring much about the latter.
I read this book... literally brought tears to my eyes. It was unlike any holocaust book i have ever read. A truly heartbreaking story. Everyone should read this book at some point; it will change your views more than the Diary of Anne Frank.
I had to read the book for school. I read it all in a day.It was truly shocking and sad. Very good book that makes you wonder whats going to happen. Expecially knowing that the happenings really happened makes it even sadder. The movie trailer gives me chills.
@richmemphis, Silly person the Nazis did do this. Who do you think worked at Berkenau or Triblinka? 100s of Jews and 20 Germans processed the people going through the system. If a Jew stopped working the German's would kill them and replace with the Jew willing to work. If you kill the one standing up to you, the rest get in line. That is how 400,000 Jews were killed in four months at Triblinka. You enlist Jews who want to live.

The book wasn't really that great. It was a wonderful story, but the authorship seemed juvenile at times. Can't wait to see the movie, though!
