@jasonbof75 Kaitlyn had a feeding aversion. Her eating was not like typical kids. A feeding aversion is something that requires feeding therapy to overcome. You should try to understand the individual situation before jumping to conclusions that she'll eat when she's hungry.
People who are trying to tell her what to do, she is doing what a professional feeding therapist that only helps a select few children a year told her to do. Back off.
I cant believe how ignorant people are to tell you to "give a toddler space". I know too well the worrying a parent goes through when their child never wants to eat. Some children do ask for food eventually when they get hungry, but others need more attention (such as our darling daughters) and I understand the want to have your child nourished. I am still feeding mine due to feeding probems from birth...not something space will fix.
Hi. This is my second post to you, but I'd also recommend letting her try to feed herself sometimes. She's old enough to handle a spoon, and it seems some of the battle is her frustration at having no control. Given a little space, she would get hungry eventually. This may not work if she is diabetic or some such, but if she isn't it might be worth a try or two. Brava to your commitment and care.
Oh i have thought of you all so often. i never could find you again until you just wrote back. did you ever get her throwing up under control? i just want to pick her up and hold her. You are a good mama.
How old is Kaitlyn? How many different therapies have you tried? I would love to chat with you. My daughter is seven, and dealing with many of the same issues.
She is such a brave, patient and cooperative girl, I admire her effort to try to eat, even she is not having a good time, I mean she really tries! She has totally captivated me!
Congratulations mom, don't get desperated, you've done a really really good job =)

she's 2 in this video, and her voice is soft due to a paralyzed vocal chord.
