    - CARLITO BADUI E TAQUIN FÃ GERALDO

    - CHANGO SPASIUK EN FORMOSA KILOMETRO 11 -10/10/2009 (4)

  • its a salterelle (Spelling?) its tuned to B/C which is the more common tuning of boxes with C#/D being after that

  • awsome i would love 2 learn to play both types of accordion

  • Beautiful box and playing... but why did you take the screen off? Doesn't that risk getting dirt/general filth in the reeds?

  • yes it does....i never really understood y people do that. i tried it once and even playing was uncomfortable. i suggest leaving the grill on the box

  • Accordion playing Irishman with an emo haircut.... sorry, but what has happened to the world?

  • @GermanDulcimer hes from London

  • Alright, yet I often wonder what's happened to our world :)

    Greetings

  • lol! i personally thought it was more like an oasis/charlatans/supergrass style of haircut, than emo, though his accordian playing is absolutely immaculate so im not too bothered by his haricut.

  • hes my cousin =]

  • Hot cousin!

  • Awesome!

  • no emos for irish music

  • screamo/ irishcore xD xD

joking, he is great, he could have every kind of hair and he would be great the same

  • Nice playing! (pity about the hair :p)

  • hes cute >>

  • This young man is very talented! I love this kind of sound. Nice instrument! Is the accordion made in Ireland?? Thank you for this video.

  • ha he`s class but he`s hair is so much nicer now hehe! It was gas the way wen he was introducin it he slipped in dat he also won the melodeon:L x

  • OMFG. I used to know this guy.

  • no you didnt

  • yeah. i did. and f you.

  • I call this instrument a concertina - any difference between that and an Irish button accordion?

    Enjoyable vid :). Well done!

  • He's playing a diatonic two row button accordion (or melodeon). Irish versions typically have the two rows tuned to B/C, C#/D or D/D#, which makes them chromatic or nearly chromatic (which is to say all the notes of the scale are available). A concertina is ocatagonal or hexagonal and is basically a melodeon keyboard split halfway down with the upper half found under the left hand and the lower half found under the right hand. No bass buttons on a concertina.

    He's a good player, isn't he?

  • Oh, yes, he is a good player :)! Thanks ever so much for the mini lesson (sorry if I sounded so uninformed!)

  • Cheers for the info, mate !, people are confused about this stuff and I shall take your word very much for it. Job done !

  • whats the difference between a small one and a big one?

  • some people say its not the size that matters - its what you do with it :P That aside the small ones have less weight so its easier to travel about with them. They are also likely to have less couplers therefore types of sound are restricted.

The larger models need more power in the left arm and tend to have a variety of inter changeable sounds.

  • does n e 1 no where u could get the sheet music to this tune?

  • To the person who wants the sheet music to this tune

Log on to web and look up The Session - it lists the sheet music for several thousand irish tunes - including sound files so you can hear the tune.

The tune is listed as Franc A´Phoill

    Regards, Stu

  • i bet i could do that in my sleep :P x

  • Well done mate lovely music

  • Great Tune!!! Played by a savage accordian player!! What make of accordian is it? its savage also!!

  • It's a Saltarelle Nuage with the grill missing for some reason

  • molto molto bravo

  • Saw him play in the all-ireland this year! he should of won it again! he was savage !

  • he's not an emo! actually he cut his hair!its short now!!

  • Ah, you're just jealous...

  • ya, thats its!! im jealous

  • what an insult to the likes of joe burke and ned kelly. mediocre at best

  • About as spot-on and dry as traditional Irish music is. He's damn good at that. I wonder if he's done anything more modern with it. Some Martin Green-ish.

And also, a haircut. He needs one.

  • He should get an eyebrow piercing! It would look super fine on him.

  • Damien pushes all the right buttons ;)

  • emo accordion?

  • haha i'd never thought i'd see the day

  • I like how he lost himself in the music.

    That was great!

  • Wooooow.

  • he looks soo different with long hair!!

  • this sham sounds mighty sawsnek to me.

  • This made me remind Colombian accordionists

  • His bass playing is fantastic.

  • AMAZING!

  • I'v never realized that someone could play accordion like this.very very very nice!

    Irish folk is absolutely amazing!

  • Hi Damien. Das ist wunderbar !!

1 - Is playing the button accordion easier than a keyboard-type accordion ?

2- Does it cost much money ?

    Thank you.

    Wolgang Amadeus

  • they are both as difficult as each other but the button accordion costs less.

  • Great stuff, lovely guy also.

  • he is well good looking

  • great stuff

  • Im irish and we should all be proud of our own music. Sub for sub with my chanell plz

  • Keepin it alive! Great stuff!

  • That's the stuff!

  • Bagpipes + accordians + Violins = one heck of a smash up job, the kind of music that makes a man like me wanna dance even know he can't. lol

  • Well done!

  • Who care if his haircut is kind of emo, his accordion playing is really damn good! Not many people appreciate the accordion as much as it should be.

  • And where do the Irish from?

And a lot of so called Irish tunes?

    Leave the kid alone.

    You're just jealous.

  • come from.....

  • Sub to my chanell and ill sub to yours

  • watch?v=H_B4RyWw-tk

  • hes not even irish...

  • lad i left comments b4 but i have to say dis is unreal

  • ther is regional competitions such as scottish fleadh, london fleadh, etc. then the winners from them compete in the all-britain fleadh and winners from that play against the irish regional winners in the all ireland. the furthest ive got is the all britain fleadh

  • wow, i love how just plain...amazing all professional folk instrumentalists are

  • very nice bravo

  • Excellent :-)

  • Cool video, Hi can i make remix from that in techno version! Maby that souns great! hit me up

  • Great stuff...but tell me one thing: why is a hun the "all-Ireland" champ?

  • because the competition was held in Ireland, it's not the all_Irish Champ. Kinda like how you dont need to British to win Britan's Got Talent, or American to win Americas got talent.

  • I see. Thanks for the info.

  • 1 Because he's better

2 The Irish competition was probably drunk the days leading up to, during, and after the competition, and so were disqualified for not attending since they were comatose on the floor.

  • Aw diddums, I'm sorry I offended you, it was a simple joke =] don't get mad over little things.

If you made a joke about my culture I really couldn't care less since it's all done in fun.

  • you got no culture

  • lol

  • Joiiinnn my Brutal Death Metal Irish Jig Ledohosen Pirate Band From England!

  • Young man you play Very Well

  • Cool! Makes me want to dance a jig ^_^

  • i no i left u bad commments b4. but lad dats class.

  • XD This song is made of pure awesome. Seriously!

Also, I find it funny how someone with long hair, which is black, is instantly called emo. Juat goes to show how fucktards like to categorize people...

  • you are good

  • Nice playing, ignore the negative comments from the usual loser types. It's pretty obvious what instrument they spend their nights playing with...

  • cool hair

  • who'd thought that an Emo would choose that instrument lol

  • thats just cool :)

  • very nice!

  • One hell of a play son one hell of a play!

  • I hardly think a moron who writes comments liek thatis in any position to call anyone a retard. In fact I'm surprised you can eve spell the word. Keep your stupid remarks to yourself and don't insult people with actual talent!

  • well done on the feature!
