I wonder if they would remake the TV show with the same actors but different roles(except for Sun and Jin)...how it would be...i think it would be such a mess up cuz eveery one knows dominic as charlie,or josh as Sawyer,or evangeline as kate,...and for charlie and hugo...you can't find 2 better actors than Dominic and Jorge!!!....it was definetly the BEST TV SHOW EVER!!!

I'm not opposed to the way Dominic read for it, but I know that, had he been cast in the role, his Sawyer would have evolved throughout the show in a COMPLETELY different way than Josh Holloway's Sawyer did.

i think everyone auditioned for sawyer because initially he was going to be the main character and Jack was going to be killed off when they went to get the radio at the very begining of season 1

i see alot of comments about i cant see him playing sawyer but the only reason you cant because sawyer as in josh played sawyer and you gotten used to him and his acting style as sawyer so therefore we cant say he cant ! they are all good !

@redsoxxx1234 they had to, like with most audtions theres a guy role you audition for and a girl role you audition for, the guy role was sawyer, the girl role was kate, if they like you, or think youd be better at somthing else, theyĺl move you on in the audition

Yes, they seemed pretty confused about the right actor for Sawyer, but I'm happy they chose Holloway in the end :)

@78kokka It is how casting works. Some actors fit the role better than others. Ensemble casts always have large changes at the last minute.

Chandler was originally going to be Ross, and Ross was originally going to be chandler, for instance :)

but the creators made the characters off of some of the actors who read for sawyer except for holloway of course.

for example

when jorge garcia left the audition room they created Hugo just for jorge. Same with Matthew fox
