@NamelessAidan Stitch was a relatively popular franchise in Japan. They wanted to make more, so we got this. The original Lilo and Stitch series had aired previously on Japanese television (both on TV Tokyo and Disney Channel Japan) as well. So it's not as if they had not gotten the original tv series.
I honestly enjoyed this. I don't see why people are immediately hating this without even giving it so much as a chance or a couple episodes. Bothers me...

I don't understand what the goal of this anime version is. I mean....isn't it good enough to just dub the original movie/tv series into Japanese? Why do they feel compelled to redo everything? Is their intension to make a better version of it? Was the original not good enough? Then again...America has done similar things like remaking Japanese horror films like The Ring and The Grudge.

In the original, they demonstrated that by having him pick up a car and throwing it at someone....Twice.......Welcome to the anime's quest to make Stitch the wimpiest thing in fiction, when in reality he could fight Superman and The Hulk in his sleep with Freddy Krueger and Dominic Cobb invading his mind as he does.

When looking at that hideous blond girl and her pitiful friends, I actually kind of miss Myrtle and her stupid clique. At least they gave the show some character.
I'm not 'hating on Yuuna', but theres NOTHING unique about her. She's the generic, overused tomboy, rough/tough girl who can beat up boys. You can't relate to her because she isn't at all realistic.
Lilo on the otherhand is a very complex character. She's a very good dipiction of an estranged and frustrated little girl and every way she reacted stayed true her her personality. She was brilliantly thought up.
This is simply my criticism, but I've seen a Yuuna type character 300 times. >:

But, hey: "If it's not broken, don't fix it." I personally like the tomboy/tsundere/tough girl characters. Their rough but kind personalities offer a childish escape from realism.

Yuuna after 1 episode has showed to be a great character, apart from the karate and being noble thing, she can some what fight stich and probably help if something shows up instead of watching while shouting words of encouragement *cough lilo* like a pokemon trainer

This is actually better than I expected. I think it's a good series on its own without Stitch, since I think a lot of people are hating this because it's Stitch and anime mixed together.
OMG! in the beginning the little kids were playin spectrobes! Love that game! I also loves stitch! i loved him so much when i was little i named my german shepard after him. as long as he's in this i don't care who the flippin girl is.
So, finally, Stitch was tranformed into a generic anime. Yuuna's voice made my anger mad somehow. They put the ice cream guy in there though, so it's acceptable.

This is actually better than I expected. I think it's a good series on its own without Stitch, since I think a lot of people are hating this because it's Stitch and anime mixed together.

OMG! in the beginning the little kids were playin spectrobes! Love that game! I also loves stitch! i loved him so much when i was little i named my german shepard after him. as long as he's in this i don't care who the flippin girl is.

So, finally, Stitch was tranformed into a generic anime. Yuuna's voice made my anger mad somehow. They put the ice cream guy in there though, so it's acceptable.

@PikamonMaster Maybe the person likes Yuna not because she's an anime character, but because she can defend herself and doesn't allow herself to be pushed around by bullies like Lilo did. Lilo did retaliate against bullies but not very effectively.
Still I miss Lilo and Nani. :( They were some of my favorite characters. It kinda makes me sad some of the characters went away.
