@lordironrat The TBSS in stock form is mid 13's to low 14's in 1/4, some better some worse. It's not the fastest thing out there but it will beat the average fox body 5.0 and newer 4.6 mustangs, and LT1 camaros and LT1 Corvettes and G35, G37 350Z and 370Z...so you can't really say a TBSS is slow by that comparison.

The hemi has more power on paper, less from 0-60 so why are you the one running your mouth? The only Tundra you beat are the older generation 4.7s The fastest 0-60 stock V8 is the 6.2 Chevy. I'm a big tundra guy. I got a 13s first gen but I have a lot of tbss friends. Don't underestamate the tbss. We ran a 08 rcsb trd charge tundra against a minor bolton blazer with a good tune and it was pretty close. So look out
It's still Japanese. No matter where it is built. A lot of American trucks are built in mexico, they can be built in the middle east, but I would take it over a Tundra. JUst simply stating the fact that a truck is where the company itself is from not where its built.

@CyberGTX09 Gas engine, the tundra absolutely can compete with them. In most respects I would take one over an f-150 and even a silverado because they only have 5.4 V8 which aren't that powerful. Dodge is the only one I would take over a tundra. However, unless Tundras come up with a diesel model they will not be able to be taken a serious competitor for the big three yet.

My wife outran my buddies TBSS in our 08 DC Tundra. Both were stock. I managed to run a 14.6@95. Regular cabs are 300-400lbs lighter. Low 14's are average, high 13's are possible for a stock RCSB Tundra.
This guy said his Tundra made 423whp and went 12.7@109. He could easily destroy a stock TBSS and probably several modded ones. Why all the hate?

tundras are nick trucks my pops has a 2010 crew max but my 2010 sierra denali eats it up everytime we fuck around there both nice but the 6.3 crushes the 5.7
nice job, out of the fleet of 30 trucks we have the tundras are the only ones that don't have serious problems, I wish GM would take some pointers from toyota and learn how to build a real truck. I currently drive the 2010 silverado and it sucks ass, DON't buy one.

That Tundra is nowhere close to stock, a stock tundra 4-door with the 5.7 runs 14.7 in the 1/4, i know i beat one. A tbss with exhaust and 3k stall runs 13.2. Idk what you have done but it's definately not stock.

@f100stroker347 why don't you learn something about the ss before you talk about a tundra. I own a SSS and mod tbss and sss all the time, i've raced tundras, I know what they're capable of. The single cab might be quicker than the 4 - door i raced but not 2 seconds faster, not stock.
My parents have a brand new tundra really nice, but I hate the transmission on it, always slipping. My 2010 1500 regular cab is a better truck in my opinion. I have raced it about 5 times with my bro and only lost once. Barely.
I drive a 88 Extended Cab Chevy Dually with a 454 that has a performance coil headers and flowmasters only and I can run right with my buddies 07 5.7 Tundra from 0-45(TH400/4.56 gears is dead in the water after that tho) but I leave on his tundra everytime) Tundra. he's even had alittle work done to it. I dont know what kind of # he is pushing at the rear wheels, but my 454 is pushing a measly 240 HP and just about 400TQ at the rear wheels. Make of that what you will.

@Suthernredneck68 OK, snapping back to reality.......and all insults aside, my point remains very simple the 5.3 Chevy engine puts out 305 HP with 335 torque......the 6.0 puts out 325 HP with 370 torque......the 6.2 puts out 403HP with 417 torque. The Tundras 5.7 puts out 381 HP with 400 torque. Liter for liter the Toyota 5.7 is more powerful and generates more torque, compared to its BIG 3 counter parts. Additionall the Toyota 5.7 is far more advanced with 4 valves per cylinder, DOHC, etc.

Actually, all trailblazers wearing an SS badge had a 6.0 LS2 motor. Some trailblazers got the 5.3, but I believe it was an option on the extended length ones they only made for a few years. AWD was also optional for the SS. Don't know if that one was, but there are more out there without.

That was NOT tires burning on the Chevy, its an All Wheel Drive, no way it spins All the tires! LOL, The first SS had the 5.3 at 300 HP, the 5.7 Tundra makes 381 HP and would WASTE an SS. Its not just the HP but the 6 speed trans and the 4.30 rear gears on the Tundra. I use to eat Denali's n SS's on my 05 ram HEMI!! I had lsd exhaust n 3:93 gears 2wd!! No joke!! I own a 08 tundra now n i wont even waste my gas on SS's!! Even tho I think the ram was a lil slower it a way better truck but I love the tranny on the tundra!! Even tho it went out at 20k miles!! "warranty" haha be ready to hear the valvles ticking too!! After this truck I'm going back to HEMI!!
a win is a win.. but when you think your car can own a tbss try to be specific about it.. that was an 06 tbss wich has 100 less hp and 120 less tq than an 07 or 08 tbss.. and 06 had two types of tbss a v8 pushing 400hp and a 6 supercharged pushing the same but with less tq. Get into the 07-08 and they are v8's pushing 489hp and i forget the tq.. but they will stomp a tundra...

Im gona have to call you out on that one !! Every SS has the same HP, 395(i think the older ones are 390) there is no stock SS pushing 489. Its a Corvette LS2. Also there is no Supercharged 6cly Trailblazer at all. There was a concept for a Twin turbo but they scratched that and did the SS instead

Lankyeric.... I dont mean to be a dick and correct you on everything but they dont have a supercharged 4.2 6Cly. Trust me, Its "ridiculously" hard and expensive to run any kind of boost on a TB. Mechanically is a breeze but the tuning fucks everyone up. A few ppl have Turbo's on theirs but have spent enough money on it to get 2 SS's.
One company made one for the vortec 5Cly but no one has put it on a 4.2 yet and if they have they haven't told anyone.
as i said, i called a friend up afterwards and he set me straight on that, his is supercharged or was he sold it now.. its not expensive to do it.. i bought a turbo charger for mine already all i need is the proper headers.. and im thinking about a new tranny first.. anyway turbo intercooler for everything came to 655.. everything but headers inc.

The hemi has more power on paper, less from 0-60 so why are you the one running your mouth? The only Tundra you beat are the older generation 4.7s The fastest 0-60 stock V8 is the 6.2 Chevy. Then the Tundra, not the hemi. Before the 6.2, the Tundra was the fastest to 60 of all its competitors

@CyberGTX09 Gas engine, the tundra absolutely can compete with them. In most respects I would take one over an f-150 and even a silverado because they only have 5.4 V8 which aren't that powerful. Dodge is the only one I would take over a tundra. However, unless Tundras come up with a diesel model they will not be able to be taken a serious competitor for the big three yet.

My wife outran my buddies TBSS in our 08 DC Tundra. Both were stock. I managed to run a 14.6@95. Regular cabs are 300-400lbs lighter. Low 14's are average, high 13's are possible for a stock RCSB Tundra.
This guy said his Tundra made 423whp and went 12.7@109. He could easily destroy a stock TBSS and probably several modded ones. Why all the hate?
I am actually looking for a single cab myself. Some tires and a lil squeeze ought to make for a fun daily driver and hurt some feelings.

I drive a 88 Extended Cab Chevy Dually with a 454 that has a performance coil headers and flowmasters only and I can run right with my buddies 07 5.7 Tundra from 0-45(TH400/4.56 gears is dead in the water after that tho) but I leave on his tundra everytime) Tundra. he's even had alittle work done to it. I dont know what kind of # he is pushing at the rear wheels, but my 454 is pushing a measly 240 HP and just about 400TQ at the rear wheels. Make of that what you will.

@Suthernredneck68 OK, snapping back to reality.......and all insults aside, my point remains very simple the 5.3 Chevy engine puts out 305 HP with 335 torque......the 6.0 puts out 325 HP with 370 torque......the 6.2 puts out 403HP with 417 torque. The Tundras 5.7 puts out 381 HP with 400 torque. Liter for liter the Toyota 5.7 is more powerful and generates more torque, compared to its BIG 3 counter parts. Additionall the Toyota 5.7 is far more advanced with 4 valves per cylinder, DOHC, etc.

Actually, all trailblazers wearing an SS badge had a 6.0 LS2 motor. Some trailblazers got the 5.3, but I believe it was an option on the extended length ones they only made for a few years. AWD was also optional for the SS. Don't know if that one was, but there are more out there without.

That was NOT tires burning on the Chevy, its an All Wheel Drive, no way it spins All the tires! LOL, The first SS had the 5.3 at 300 HP, the 5.7 Tundra makes 381 HP and would WASTE an SS. @durakingdiesel ____OK 390 hp and they did it by shoving a bigger engine in the SS, instead of designing a new motor....say with 4 valves per cylinder......or double overhead cams......or variable valve timing....can you say pushrod tech from the early 50's!!!!!!!!!! LOL Besides HP does not win a drag race, its torque off the line and the Tundra makes better use of torque with its 4.30 gears.

puchicalavos ur retarded we got an avalanche 2500 thats beaten an f150 lightning, you could hear was at full throttle(stopped at about 80mph), and we got a 2008 sequoia with this same 6 speed and 5.7l with a k&n for towing and the sequoia is way faster than the avalanche which has an 8.1l. now ur gonna try and tell me that your dads 6.0l will beat an 8.1l(496ci)bigblock let alone a lighter weight tundra or our heavyass full size sequoia that ive beaten mustang gts in? i want whatever ur smoking

I use to eat Denali's n SS's on my 05 ram HEMI!! I had lsd exhaust n 3:93 gears 2wd!! No joke!! I own a 08 tundra now n i wont even waste my gas on SS's!! Even tho I think the ram was a lil slower it a way better truck but I love the tranny on the tundra!! Even tho it went out at 20k miles!! "warranty" haha be ready to hear the valvles ticking too!! After this truck I'm going back to HEMI!!

a win is a win.. but when you think your car can own a tbss try to be specific about it.. that was an 06 tbss wich has 100 less hp and 120 less tq than an 07 or 08 tbss.. and 06 had two types of tbss a v8 pushing 400hp and a 6 supercharged pushing the same but with less tq. Get into the 07-08 and they are v8's pushing 489hp and i forget the tq.. but they will stomp a tundra...

...every single tbss came with an ls2 engine putting out 390 horsepower crank, and all of them were n/a. idk where you're getting your facts from. but nonetheless stock vs stock, tbss will stop a tundra. i will agree with you on that.

oh srry you are correct, my buddy has one.. thought it was an ss but he just supercharged a 4.2 and popped ss logos rims and did body work.. then also when i bought mine i seen a supercharged 6 at the dealership and thought it was an ss so i believed they made them for the 06 model

Im gona have to call you out on that one !! Every SS has the same HP, 395(i think the older ones are 390) there is no stock SS pushing 489. Its a Corvette LS2. Also there is no Supercharged 6cly Trailblazer at all. There was a concept for a Twin turbo but they scratched that and did the SS instead
Im not trying to bag on the SS( its my favorite car) just straightening out a few things. Stock vs Stock the SS would prob win!

Lankyeric.... I dont mean to be a dick and correct you on everything but they dont have a supercharged 4.2 6Cly. Trust me, Its "ridiculously" hard and expensive to run any kind of boost on a TB. Mechanically is a breeze but the tuning fucks everyone up. A few ppl have Turbo's on theirs but have spent enough money on it to get 2 SS's.
One company made one for the vortec 5Cly but no one has put it on a 4.2 yet and if they have they haven't told anyone.

as i said, i called a friend up afterwards and he set me straight on that, his is supercharged or was he sold it now.. its not expensive to do it.. i bought a turbo charger for mine already all i need is the proper headers.. and im thinking about a new tranny first.. anyway turbo intercooler for everything came to 655.. everything but headers inc.
