  • I suspect at the end of the day, Tony Blair's not the stalwart we want to believe he is. But he talks a good game and I'll be damned if he ain't sharp as a tack, and savvy as a bulldog. And he looks like an Angel compared to our American D-Bag politicians.

  • @FavreianVengeance - he looks like an angel compared to OURS too.

  • Tony Blair should move to the U.S., Americans love him. Americans are very loyal and are very conscious of the fact that when shit hit the fan Blair stood beside us while France was no where to be found. Americans will never forget. Thank you Tony Blair!

  • @RomeAndMarty4Ever - he would certainly be able to get out and about in the US, unlike here in Britain where the insane placard wavers grab the headlines whenever he appears. Encouraged by the lunatic press, of course. But many, many of us DO miss him, despite the 'liberal' press's nonsense.

  • now ed milliband is in leader of Labour. shot themselves in the foot? yes.

  • @theSPUDereHD - I've written a blog post on this. Google "33 years to find a Blair".

  • Thank you for a video, I wish he knew we all love and support him. God bless Mr. Blair, he is one of the best Prime Ministers Britain has ever had. It would be great, if he could be back in office, maybe one day he will...

  • @Aleeraize - I wish. I really do.

  • J'adore!

  • Blair was a fantastic Prime Minister. It's easy for us to get caught up in all the anti-Blair vitriol in the media, but he did so much good and was principled man. But he was not blindly dogmatic, and not afraid to stand steadfast against terrorism and Islamic extremism.

Whilst I have concerns about the build-up to the Iraq war, its intentions were noble. Removing a despotic, murderous dictator from power is a righteous cause.

    I enjoy reading your blog.

  • @MrToadful - thank you for your kind comments. Every now and again I think I really must stop the blog. Then something else comes up that he's involved in, and I realise that if I don't keep track there is nowehere that HIS positive narrative is recorded in one place. So the blog's still there.

  • Tony Blair was an amazing prime minister, the best we've ever had, and that includes better than Churchill.

  • @BigWilki123321 - Thank you for this. What a loss he was to this lost country. And, believe it or not, I never voted for him because of earlier political allegiances. I would NOW! When Brown and co started to stab him in the back in public as well as private I took an interest and I was amazed at all he did despite others holding him back. You should google "ban blair-baiting" and sign it. When the Iraq inquiry gets going again it'll still be Blair our dullard press will want to string up.

  • As an American, I loved the scene where Bush was thanking his friend so support us. That meant a lot to us Americans.

  • Labour lost Tony and then they lost the country!

I dont think its a coinsidence!

  • @wazzberger - neither do I think it is a coincidence. But there we go. Who am I but a mere Blair supporter?

  • nicziw - please search for - Ban Blair-Baiting petition - and sign it.

There is far too much dissing of this good man online, and not enough from the silent majority. And yes, even in Britain, I DO think there is a silent majority who support him, despite the Daily Mail's best efforts.

It's about to get worse with reports from the Iraq Inquiry malcontents.

  • And getting duller by the minute, nicziw.

Still if he becomes EU President we'll get to hear him talk about what he's good at - politics. And Brussels isn't THAT far away. Have charisma, will travel.

Wouldn't it be something to feel we have a leader again?

  • Without a doubt Blair supporter, people can run him down all they like, but his achievements were great, Northern Ireland, minimum wage, so and so on. Even Thatcher when asked what her greatest achievement was, said "New Labour". Tone for president, cannot come soon enough!

  • The most charismatic prime minister of the 21st century, come back Tone, politics is a duller place without you!

  • global resession azumirm! can't blame brown for that. but yes, blair was a great statesman.

  • Apart from joining the war, blair did a good job, at the very least we didn't slip into this resession / depression.

  • The Man for all Seasons. The Man for all Reasons. Never was there a better Leader. Three Terms he was elected.

8yrs. And only the Bitch Queen. and the BBC, reign longer. I wonder why?

  • Quite, hewerviewer - and this "profiting" business is a big part of the charges THEY throw at those they mean to destroy.

Sadly, the public seems beguiled by this argument as far as politicians are concerned while disrgarding the press's own profit-led motivation.

  • Yes, but the press are fickle Blair Supporter, and seldom recognise greatness in people of the calibre of tony Blair. They are concerned only (at the end of the day) in their grubby little profits and sadly greatness is hardly ever profitable

  • hewerviewer,

I agree. And now the British press want to lynch him even BEFORE the Iraq Inquiry has started.

Just as well he has his God to lean on.

  • Absolutely. One of the truly great contemporary world leaders.

  • Great Man Great Prime Minister.

but only one greater Winston Churchill

  • Hi TScholesFogg,

Thanks for the comment. Where's your impersonation of the great man, then? Not that it's really as easy to impersonate him as some make it out to be. Criticism, on the other hand, is easy.

  • Tony Blair is the best MP and speaker in the history of Britain

  • And NOW don't we know it, ted?

  • Thank you Mr Blair for standing by us in our darkest moment.

  • indeed.

  • I wish he stayed for the next election i know he would get re-elected

  • Sorry for being so late to put your comment up. I agree that Tony Blair would have won again. Don't know who'll win the election, but it could be soon.

With Blair against Cameron there would have had no contest. Brown is gaining because people do not rate Cameron & team, and are holding onto nurse for fear of finding something worse. Brown should know something about the economy having run it for ten years. Well, eleven and a half. I think he's still running it, with Darling as the front-man.

  • The only reason why I like Blair was because he stood by Bush's side. His liberal policies, other the war in Iraq, is a huge turn off.

  • I always liked Blair. I still think he's a liar, and ought to be ashamed for his involvement in Iraq. He always seems so sincere and genuine, even when he's lying through his teeth. Somehow it's just hard to hate the guy. Even when he was totally exaggerating the case for war, it still seemed like for whatever reason he actually did think it was the right thing to do. He's so likable and sophisticated that I have to consciously remind myself about all the death and misery that resulted.

  • Anteater, at least you think he's likeable. That's a start!

Now think about - I mean REALLY think. WHY do you think he's a liar? It can only be because the press told you so. None of us sat in on the discussions pre-Iraq, so we only hear what the papers write from those with an axe to grind. Others who say that he did NOT lie are usually disregarded by the press. And there are plenty of them. WHY? Because the press has its own agenda - anti-war/Blair/Labour. But Iraq is turning around ... cont.

  • continued - to Anteater -

And now that things are working out SO much better in Iraq and its people are thanking us, do we hear that from our press!? NO! Read Michael Yon on Iraq.

The death & misery that resulted, were caused by the insurgents who killed THEIR OWN. You need to understand that the people voted for their own government given the chance by Britain, the USA & allies. That government is now working & we have an ally in the Middle East.We surely need one given the madmen out there!

  • Well, all I can say is that I try to get my news from multiple sources, many of whom I don't necessarily agree with. I've read a lot of the more gung-ho stuff about the war, but the idea that Iraq posed a genuine threat just never seemed plausible. I don't claim to know the true reasons for the war, but I believe a false pretext was presented. I realise much of the current death toll probably comes from insurgent attacks, but that doesn't excuse the deaths caused by the coalition forces.

  • Ha! The people are happier? Poll after poll show quite the opposite, that the Iraqi people felt safer and happier BEFORE the invasion. This war, and I do accept that Blair was mislead and didn't lie to us intentionally, is a total farce. We are less secure as a nation, Iraq is more unstable than it was, we have lost hundreds of troops needlessly (who were ill-equipped by Labour's withdrawl of much Army funding, incidently) and the Government certainly isn't working. Unless you read the Guardian.

  • Tony Blair made me fell proud to be british! He is a great great man!

  • And me, rachelharris82. How we miss him now.

  • God bless Tony Blair.

  • Absolutely, highdesvet, and protect him from the world's maniacs.

  • Well put, scoutingcanb4girls!

And he's still doing his best for this country and the world. It must have been a lonely job at times with Brown next door plotting the coup.

I also think the treatment of Blair tells you a lot about the pathetic character of the British press and the cynical intelligentsia. I DO blame the liberal press for their misinformation on him.

Brown is now getting his just desserts, imho.

  • We get the same thing over here with Bush. God Bless Blair

  • He was indeed a courageous and upstanding gentleman. It is my opinion that he really did give his utmost and with great sincerity from the moment he entered office on that optmistic summer morning in 1997, to the last few steps outside number 11.

I can say wholeheartedly that he was a conviction politician, and that given time people will see him as an outstanding PM.

Thank you for this video, a supporter of a man who is judged all to quickly, let us see what history will make of him.

  • Hi alexmont123 - sorry I just picked up your comment. I believe that Mr Blair is a good man & was a great PM. Oh how we need him back now! And I am ashamed at my country's easy dismissal of him. I blame the press. They have all the rights to speak freely in our land, and they take no responsibility for harm they do to reputations. Bit by bit their lies filter into people's minds. As you say, we have yet to see history's judgement of him. But he shouldn't be history yet! No way. Maybe he isn't!

  • Tony Blair is a great man, great leader,

a good friend of The United State.

Thank you for posting these videos.

God Bless him and his family!!!

  • Hi jdgfanatic. Sorry I just noticed your comment. Thank you so much for it.

Now that PM Brown is in the US this week, and we can all see his performances, it breaks your heart to know that we have lost Blair, especially when he didn't need or want to go. Well, it breaks mine anyway.

Please pay a visit to my blog and leave a message.

'Keep Tony Blair for PM' is still going.

    You never know!!!

    Ever the optimist ;0)

  • Thank you for posting these videos.

Tony Blair is a great man, great leader,

a good friend of The United States.

May God Bless him and his family!

  • I know that the Labor Party isn't really conservative, but Tony Blair is a Hero.

Thank you, for making this movie!...Fav

PS: I love the British Accent =)

  • Thank you. I'm proud to be a supporter of Tony Blair. I think he is an unusually far-seeing leader. Pity a lot of my fellow Brits couldn't see past the "feral press"! With the present mess in government - under the 'treacherous Brown", they might just be starting to re-assess him more seriously. Bit late now!

You are obviously taken with YOUR man too. Bush gets a dreadful press in this country, too. Usually by people who couldn't run a bath much less a game of bingo (keno!?)

  • yeah amen to that - no one here appreciated blair for the great man he was

    it pisses me off

  • Thanks lotrpippin2. I seem to have got you muddled with someone else, going by my comment at my other Tony Blair's Words video. Sorry about that. You obviously have excellent taste.

  • great editing, i like it very much ...but more importantly i like T.Blair, May God bless Great Britain and You; and your new Government

    5*

  • Thanks republicanUSA. It takes a bit of time to do the editing, especially since I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Must be, mustn't I? I admire Bush AND Blair!

Good luck to the USA in the quest in the Middle East. That reminds me, take a look at my other video on Blair's Impossible Dream (Mid East envoy task), if you don't mind.

  • Awesome video man, it's getting favourited!

  • Thanks topman66. I'm working on Part 2, but won't be able to finish it until next week. I appreciate that you've favourited it. Tell your friends, please!

    All the best.

  • Hi Starcatcher777 - thanks for your comment. Some of us in the UK are NOT happy about leaving Iraq before, as Blair used to say, "the job is done". Sadly, we are now in Brown's hands and he is in the hands of Labour's Left who ousted Blair and crowned Brown. But I'm not completely convinced we will leave Basra soon - events, dear boy. Even if Bush communicated as well as Blair - what difference would it make? The antis still got rid of Blair. It's the PRESS imho.

  • . You may delete this if you chose, because this is only one person's opinion and from, first an American lady and second, you may not want this much of a rant on your beautiful video. I will not be offend my friend okay. I add PM Blair to my prayers each night along with My President for the wisdom to fight the good fight. Bless you... spooky

  • Spooky! You have pride of place here. Brilliant stuff. Pity we have to stop and start in these replies, but, well, we've worked a system, have we not? Let's hope your president prevails and Tony Blair and he are not jointly blamed for WW3.

  • In it he descripes exactly how the Islamic ppl plan to take your homelands away from you in Europe. Hint; Immigration! If that takes too long, they throw in violence like your tube bombings to scare you into submission. Sharia law, convert or die! I fear for your Country my friend. Your Mr, Blair knew well that threat I believe.

  • Yes. But if you say that here you are condemned as a right-wing loony. I say it anyway. Gave up the idea of representing the people when I became disillusioned with the voters ;0)

Both main parties are now taking on the immigration issue, Brown because Cameron is, Cameron because Blair couldn't, stamped on by Brown's "social conscience".

    "SOCIAL CONSCIENCE"!?

What goes round ... comes around.

  • If nothing else, Hence the tie to AlQaeda. Thank you Blairsupporter for your great playlist and this video. I will miss Tony Blair alot. That knew ummm moron? won't even let you call them Muslims or use the word Terrorist. why, not PC enough. Please read this book by Mark Stein, a Brit/Canadian author: "America alone"

  • I will read it - if ever I get off the computer long enough. I have a task at the moment - not like Blair's quest of course. But in my own little way ...

Brown is a disgrace with this fear of calling a spade a spade. They are determined to keep the Muslim vote onboard for the election (WHENEVER THAT IS!!) They know they can't compete with the Propaganda War of the Islamist Fascists.

  • Then Alzarqawi(sp) the leader before we blew him to Allah, was injured fighting in Afghanistan,. He went to and Saddaam knew, Iraq for surgery and recovery. This Terrorist was not only involved in fighting in Afghanistan but also in Africa and Yemen.

  • You are very knowledgeable on this. Why don't you write me an article which I will post at my blog? The British people NEED to be educated since the Lippy press are opting out.

Lippy = Liberal Intelligentsia Press. Inspired by my mother who said I shouldn't be "a lippy child". I thought I was quite restrained, actually ;0)

  • Also, President Bush stated this, " If you Harbor Terrorist, If you fund Terrorist, then you are also a terrorist! Sadaam had been playing the game of sending $25,000 to any family of a suicide bomber after he blew himself up and killed Israelis. Funding terrorists. Also the 17 resolutions to disarm or disclose were totally ignored. And I do not believe that so many countries intelligents officials around the world, got this so wrong.

  • "Give me you sons and I will give you the gold". GREAT. Maybe that's why we haven't had so many suicide bombers recently. Or perhaps the intelligence is doing a better job. It seems our secret services and police prevent 3 terrorist attacks a year here. Somehow, the lack of an attack is not newsworthy as far as the press is concerned. Again - funny, that.

  • Also, it was well known that Sadaam had been bribing nations such as France and China at the Un to get the sanctions lifted off Iraq and, although I still believe that somewhere out in that big desert, lies the WMD's that have still not been found.

  • Absolutely. A sandy place - as I have just been telling a Blair hater on a Guardian Cif page. Why don't you go to my blog, click through to the Martin Kettle article and comment. It might well be closing today. You write very well, something I notice lacking in the truth-blinkered Blair detractors. Funny that.

  • That the day was soon approaching that we would have to truly address that threat. Both your country and mine along with others now occupy two very strategic borders of Iran. During the first Gulf War against sadaam. We had a very hard tinme with fly over zones to get to the objective which was Iraq. If, God help us we do have to strike Iran Militarily, we have a leg up on Air bases now.

  • On the BBC news today it seems we are sending an aircraft carrier to the Gulf. Next spring, so nothing imminent. Wonder what the Blair haters/Brown lovers make of that? They can't cope with realpolitik - bluff or not. These people have no idea.

  • I will make a sequel my friend about how the liberals and BIAS press here in the USA are trying very hard to do the same thing to our President. My feelings about Iraq after these last years is this. Perhaps wrong in what we were told but right for a far more secretive reason. I firmly believe PM Blair and President Bush both knew that are biggest threat was not Iraq as much as Iran(cont.)

  • Thank you SO much for all your replies! I thought YouTube had a glitch! Great to see that there are others in this world who agree with me that Tony Blair is (arguably) the leading world statesman at this time. President Bush and the American people recognise this. One of the reasons I love Americans! No - I've ALWAYS loved Americans. The press are FAR too free in our FREE countries, imho.(to be continued)

  • Thanks for your comment. I agree completely with you.

I could write a book - or make a video! - about how the British press 'killed off' Tony Blair. I'm STILL not convinced people saw him in the same light as the liberal intelligentsia. But people were persuaded that Iraq was wrong and entered into for all the wrong reasons. Imho, the press were unbalanced in their judgement and yet remain largely unaccountable, unlike elected politicians.

  • Tony Blair is one of the most courageous and wise men of our time. Too Bad the British ppl refused to understand that and lost him. He was a great alli to our Country, the USA and we will miss him sorely. spooky
