Aha! Thought I spotted a title change with this. Remembered you saying you wouldn't take Valerie down. It's a good one still. Got a lovely '66 feel to its melody.
@CurtisMateer Hi Pete, Good memory. I changed the title because I think most listeners were expecting another song by the same name. ("Valarie" by the Zutons, an indie band) The fact that 1800 people listened seemed unbelievable. The old title was " Valarie Valarie" Still getting a zillion more hits than my other songs...Glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Janet, I'm glad you liked it. I was happy how this one turned out. I wrote it and recorded it one day, but I haven't played it since. If I was pressed to play it, I think I'd need to learn how to play it. Thanks for listening and congrats on your youtube membership deal. You deserve it! ALL THE BEST TO YOU.
Nice Mark...it's like your art (music) painting a musical notion of a woman who had none (art)...a "woman" who used pseudo art as a method to madness. Her ridiculous manifesto to destroy someone who was all art.
Sadly, in many ways she suceeded. Ah the pathological wasteland.
This is great Mark. Very hypnotic, and a very interesting topic for a song. I guess this may have been triggered by what they found in Warhol's archives recently :o) -Ron
