  • miss my lude......sick cars man and strong engines...had a f22a engine in it and that bitch loved boost....dsm turbo bolted up to like a charm and was an inexpensive kit too...but my srt4 is where its at now. going to get another honda soon though, just a matter of time....nice run

  • @CORNFEDSRT4 Nice! I have seen some F22A block H22A head combo's make some great numbers on boost. I take it by your name that you are running ethanol in your SRT-4? I wish he had pumps close by like some guys do in the U.S

  • @LUDE4LIFE1 yup.....never got around to doing the head swap, didnt really want to have to work with vtec when tuning but then again, it was my first turbo project, 18 yrs old....but i did have a nice setup and i ran it on e85 and would just lite up the tires and scream bloody murder! was young and dumb and lost that car...miss it a lot...but yea, e85 is great! im in the middle of breaking 5's on my neon rite now! seeing wat i can do with it at the track and on the streets..

  • Nice lude BTW, I had a 94 way back when. I never did anything much to it but I got most of the ricer out of me with it. Body kit, stereo systems, what not. I upgraded to the neon after that and left all that stuff behind me. I love the color of yours <3

  • @luigiluigi884 Wtf are you talking about? I own the honda which made 366whp, and the SRT-4 which made 331whp closed DP, and 380whp open DP. Maybe you should take a second and open up R1Erics channel to see the SRT-4 on the dyno. Unfortunately you are too stupid to have thought of that the first time!

  • @SVPrelude Dyno doesn't lie, especially with a restrictive exhaust. Go to dynamotorsports.ca. Go to news and media, then scroll down October 2009 for his open DP run, and June 2008 for his closed dp run. He did another closed DP run in 2009 but the dyno owner didn't do an overlay of the graph. Get back to me when you look at the results.

  • @LUDE4LIFE1 You're right- the dyno doesn't lie. I've owned 3 NSRT's in over 6 years and I can tell you that its a proven fact that opening up a down pipe won't net you that much. And these are dyno's from dyno days and R&D dynos from companies that make the cutout themselves, such as needswings. IDC what dynamotorsports says. If that were the case, the first thing on every new SRT owners cars would be a down pipe. However this is not the case. I'm just informing you- not trying to one over you.

  • @SVPrelude Ya I was surprised at the results too. He was running an AGP 50-trim kit at 22psi on a stock exhaust. This is the main reason why he gained so much. He also backed up his numbers on another local dynojet. Thanks for the comment. I have wanted to de-rice my car for many years lol, but I wanted to make it quick. Suprisingly enough it's kind of a sleeper since everyone expects it to be a riced out Honda with no balls lol.

  • Yup and the prelude revs alot higher meaning the wheels are spinning faster than the srt's. Plus srt power band sucks balls its like the last 1k rpms before redline. Honda is definitly a better car to build!

  • @bubbyj Ya its physics....the fact is that the wheels are spinning at 8-9k per minute with the engine and tranny. Something that doesn't rev that high wont pull as hard at top end. Thats why skylines and rx-7 kill shit.. plus they have alot more torque to power ratio than honda.

  • @TheMopheaded You know that engine RPM's has nothing to do with wheel RPM's right? Bigger wheels, smaller wheels, and gearing affects your actual speed rather than just your RPM's. And a 350hp car making full HP and torque at lower RPM's is going to be faster in a 1/4 than one that has to wait until 9k RPM's regardless of which one "pulls harder" at a higher RPM. A cars weight is significantly important to how quickly something accelerates. It is actually LEAST affected by engine speed...

  • @bubbyj See I had a feeling thats what you were thinking...I wasnt trying to say in the 1/4...as the video started on a roll. YOu are right there. But let say an evo vs prelude both with 350hp...yes the evo makes power and torque earlier in the rpms. But you'll find that the honda can usually pull on things from a rolling start to top end. And both those cars probly use about the same tire size and they are both heavy. And the fact is a higher reving motor is and element that helps.

  • I talk from experience. My friend has one with a gt30r turbo kit running 15psi and blew his head gasket twice.

  • @domination281 Well unfortunately there is something wrong with how your buddies car was put together or tuned. This SRT-4 had over 100,000 km's on it with the stock block, with some 60,000+ on the AGP 50 trim kit at 18-20psi. It was still in outstanding condition the day he sold it. Another buddy of mine is running a holset making 360+whp and is in tip top shape. He will soon be going for 400+whp on the stock block.

  • Neons are shit. Always have been always will be. I'd they were even somewhat reliable I might give them respect. But they just fall apart

  • @domination281 mine has 150k on the original motor and transmission...big turbo since 40k and now it's on it's second big turbo setup with E85. Been making well over 400 whp most of it's life...you talk out your ass much??

  • @PutzkiSniper Stock lol. AGP 50 trim with bolt on's at 18-20psi. It made 379whp at 383wtq open dump, and 335whp with it closed. My car has built bottom end which does nothing for power, bone stock head, on a straight T4 at 12psi.

  • Indeed it is, but I was running low boost in this video as well. This year I will be in and around 16-18psi :) Nothing crazy, but good for a lot more hp. My car is a highway car though. It's nothing crazy from a dig unless I am running my M.T ET streets.

  • Yeup only 12 psi. I was having boost controller issues when I did my tune. My car worked great with just the wastegate, but as soon as I stuck a boost controller on, my wastegate would not open. So I ended up just running off the wastegate at 12 psi. The car makes 366whp.
