  • damn i'm jealous

  • Does it exist in white ? Thanks for the reply.

  • @DESMYTTER Yes,highgloss,and a roadtouch white.Check the Rhodespianosite./Patrik

  • And is it possible to change sound : More treble or more "metallic" sound; like the "Seventy-Three" ?

    Is there a tremolo ?

    Thanks for the reply !

  • @DESMYTTER Yepp on the 73A you can!

  • @Tonewheeldude Well... I'm talking about THIS RHODES MARK 7...

Many thanks for your reply !

  • @Tonewheeldude Yes! The MK 7 73A as in Active has EQ Stereo Tremolo etc.

  • What are the 2 bottons on the left ?

  • @DESMYTTER Volume and Bass Boost

  • They build a new Rhodes, a new Minimoog, a new "hammond b3" and even a real tonewheel organ (pari.e Organ) now. The only things i'm missing are a new Hohner Clavinet and a new Wurlitzer Piano :D

And if i'll get rich some day, i'll buy all of them ;-)

  • @LbHammondM3 Of course you shall have all of them!

  • @Tonewheeldude

But first i need A LOT of money ;D

oh, and i don't want to ruin my health because of carrying tons of musical instruments ^^ :P

  • @LbHammondM3 All is relative as old Albert Einstein said.

    There are Roadies for that:)

  • @Tonewheeldude

    you're absolutely right :D

  • @LbHammondM3 If you have enough money, then you can pay someone to carry the instruments for you.

  • @Tonewheeldude Does this "Mark 7,come in 88 notes???.

  • @myleftnutts Yes it does.

  • This was the First Rhodes MK VII in Sweden!Last Year.

  • It may be expensively priced, but it still sounds as if they've recaptured the original beast's claws. Very nicely too.

  • so tonewheel do the vintage rhodes sounds better than the 7?

  • These are expensive, If your going to spend that much on a rhodes get a Original, they are in the same price range, and sound so much better. These new rhodes sound good, but if you played a vintage rhodes back to back with this one, there is no question, VINTAGE is the way to go

  • @2245DRUMMER Well they are Hand crafted Pianos.

They where not cheap either back in the 70ties compared

what the value of money was then.If you like Vintage buy one.

We have several customers that have both MK7 and the old ones./Patrik

  • @2245DRUMMER - This one is voiced to sound very open, you can get it to sound warmer too, also "playability" feels so much better and you can find new tines for it (wich are now treated metal with lifetime warranty). I love the look and vibe of vintage ones too, but just saying vintage is better because is vintage doesnt work for me. Try to play it before you have a solid opinion.

  • I agree and thought the same thing but you have to remember they all can be set up to sound like any year/model you want. Plus they're only 90lbs, and have midi functions. Above all they are brand new! they are not going to need to be tunes as often. I think they are very expensive, but if you have a little money, It would be worth it.

  • Mark7 has this extra upper dynamics that old MkIs lack. Played hard as in this clip the range is that of a Dyno-My. Softer playing is smooth, just like it's always been. Compare this to a concert grand that has a wide dynamic range. If you are not used to this, maybe you should listen more to George Duke for example. 99% of all Rhodes have never been setup to respond properly, which probably is why some tend to think that's how it should be. Harold Rhodes fought to get this right all his life.

  • Sounds almost as good as my GEM Prp800 :)

  • hey man i ask in the rhodes site and they told me that the mark 7 s is about 3999.00 USD how is that possible?where can i see the difference from one mark 7 to another please?

  • ouch the price is a little bit high but man it sure dererve it .a great instument.i have to work hard to get it man im only 20 i canoot afford it at the moment but i will thanks for the info....

  • okkk and how much is it please?

  • @MPOURNOUZIS its 2.995 Euros+tax. for the 73S version.

  • @MPOURNOUZIS We can ship to Greece by UPS.

  • at least man a new rhodes different from the old models but still great can i carry this thing on a live set or is it too heavy?

  • @MPOURNOUZIS They are much lighter then the old ones,so its no

problem to take to the gig.

  • played it yesterday in frankfurt at the musikmesse. sounds fantastic. if i had the money, i would buy it instantly. in 6 weeks they start sale it in germany. must start to save some money for that.

  • @AnthonyDingemanse 1:55 doesn't exist. The video's 59 seconds long.

  • Comment removed

  • what are the prices, respectively? I've been on the Rhodes site, but there are no mentions of the cost

  • Just amazing .. classic yet right up to date sound .. what a legend ..

  • WANT

  • i would buy one for sure but there aint none in england . :-((

  • @bopkick5: Fear not, I imagine that dealers across the pond will be carrying them soon.

  • frend i hope so. they are amazing arent they

  • @bopkick5: Indeed they are lovely. You might check with dealers in Sweden; I think they may already be available there. Could be worth a cruise over on the ferry.

  • thats a point . . . i might do that actually, thanks

  • finaly these awesome stuff is avaible in my shop, i have test it and oh my gosh it's awesome !!!

  • I am turned on. TWD, you're going to have a KILLER time with that beast. It sounds like silk, clouds, thunder, butter, all wrapped together, and even better than that. It might just be the best instrument ever made, period :-)

  • Someone said this is the best piano ever made. I disagree, it's the best instrument period.

  • Yup, thats a rhodes. Sounds great but i wouldn't part with my mark 1 any day. I just wish I could play it as good as you lol.

  • You are welcome! We will try make som more videos. This is just me tryeing it out for the first time.A Production built one.

  • The New Rhodes Mark 7 is a fully Electro Mechanical Instrument. Its a completely improved Original Rhodes Piano!

  • Does it work in a similar way to the old ones or is it digital? If its not digital, then thats ace! I'm sick of companies making digital copies of their former keyboards (cough* hammond)

  • Yes!Its a lot better then the old ones.

A huge difference. They have realy pushed the envelope here.

  • i love my hammond xk3 its digital and it sounds great

  • True!They are great.And you would not carry a 450Lbs B3 under your arm!

Both the XK3 and XK3C is also so tweekable to your personal taste.

  • You gotta love it!
