We have one rule in our pottery... no beverages in cups while glazing... accident prevention. Love your work and videos! Janice

Does the matte black come from the Raku or the clay?

It comes from the reduction atmosphere in the raku kiln.

Thank you. I sculpt figurines and have yet to try any of the raku firing. This will give me one more option.

As a novice, I have perhaps a silly question .... Can I use copper carbonate on stoneware that is to be fired in an electric kiln to a cone 5 or 6? Thank you so much!

You should try combining the pot stand to the pot so it makes a nice decorative pot that stands
