Krazy Keyes tried running for Maryland Senator in 1988 and lost with 38% of the vote. He tried again in 92 and got 29%. In 96 he tried running for president and got busted trying to get into a debate in Atlanta to which he was not invited. He tried again in 2000 and the best he did was in the far rightwing state of Utah, where he got 20% of the republican vote. After losing badly in Illinois, Keyes moved out of his rented apartment in the middle of the night to avoid being seen by the media.

I've met Alan Keyes - actually had lunch with him. He is extremely intelligent, engaging, and charismatic. I have voted for him a few times in various elections.

In defense of Keyes, the Republicans essentially drafted him knowing full well they were not going to support Keyes in his race. The seat belonged to Peter Fitzgerald, who retired. The GOP initially went with some guy named Jack Ryan, but a sex scandal doomed him. Before they drafted Dr. Keyes, they also tried (unsuccessfully) to draft Hall of Fame tight end/coach Mike Ditka.

If Keyes worked on his speaking skills, he would go far. He has a good message, but he says too much too fast, it just sort of goes over people's head. It may just be the debate format that is giving him problems, but it makes him appear clumsy and nervous.

Krazy Keyes tried running for Maryland Senator in 1988 and lost with 38% of the vote. He tried again in 92 and got 29%. In 96 he tried running for president and got busted trying to get into a debate in Atlanta to which he was not invited. He tried again in 2000 and the best he did was in the far rightwing state of Utah, where he got 20% of the republican vote. After losing badly in Illinois, Keyes moved out of his rented apartment in the middle of the night to avoid being seen by the media.

I've met Alan Keyes - actually had lunch with him. He is extremely intelligent, engaging, and charismatic. I have voted for him a few times in various elections.
Politically, he has a few things going against him. He is sincere, not conniving. He has no gray in his beliefs - everything is black or white so everyone disagrees with him on something. Finally, he comes across as an pompous, arrogant zealot. His followers love it, but it turns of alot of people.

In defense of Keyes, the Republicans essentially drafted him knowing full well they were not going to support Keyes in his race. The seat belonged to Peter Fitzgerald, who retired. The GOP initially went with some guy named Jack Ryan, but a sex scandal doomed him. Before they drafted Dr. Keyes, they also tried (unsuccessfully) to draft Hall of Fame tight end/coach Mike Ditka.

Yes but this video is only about Keyes... He is running with Constitutional Party now, and probably its my favourite party after Libertarian Party. But anyway, my favourite politician in my life is RON PAUL FREEDOM 08!!!

I voted for the Constitution party Nominee in 04' and if its Keyes now, ill vote for him . I also have on April 22 the PA Repub Primary and i will be voting for RON PAUL for that. But in the General election, A KEYES is My choice. Unless,,, there is a HUGE R.P write in campaign

If Keyes worked on his speaking skills, he would go far. He has a good message, but he says too much too fast, it just sort of goes over people's head. It may just be the debate format that is giving him problems, but it makes him appear clumsy and nervous.
