Look at the left side of the screen at about 0:19. You can see the Boomer's lower half leaning against the wall. That is the reason Bill is looking at the green slime and saying he hasn't seen it before. This leads to the theory that this was their first Boomer encounter, and also possibly explains the horde that comes moments later.
